Time after Pennons passed at Earth Runes. And the biggest news is, Minerva is getting sained soon

Will she be a baroness? A countess? A DUCHESS?

And there in lays the problem, and August gets a knock on his door

"Come in." he looks up from his studies.

Minerva comes "Baron? Is it true? Is it true that we may delay my saining because of the Ducal Namer's death?" She's fussing "It's been a year and a day. How can there be a shortage of namers?"

"Would you like to be seated?" August asks gently "I can request a tea service. I believe discussions are ongoing in the matter of your Saining."

"The Art is rare and powerful; it is not an easy skill to learn."

She flumps ino a seat "But surely they had more than one"

"There is an apprentice." August admits.

"Yes, apparently ..and he's delayed by legal proceedings and a much longger list." She sparks with irritation, beautiful and irked "he won't be avaiible till november"

"Disucssions are ongoing." he reminds her.

"There has to be another namer in the Duchy somewhere?"

"Or in the Kingdom." the Liam agrees.

"Do you think you could see if House Liam has one in the area? Maybe there's less of a demand for them due to your House's stigma?"

"I can suggest it to Baroness Coradel."

"Mmm I feel a noble tantrum coming on"

"Let me encourage you to self-discipline." not unkindly.

"I've been self disciplined, so far it's produced zero results" A huff

"Zero?"

"Well, i feels like itt" She sighs

"You feel frustrated." he interprets.

"Very much, and ..confined"

"You wish to explore."

"I wish to know who I am" She points out

"A reasonable, even sensible, desire." he agrees.

"Baron, I know your title was a well earned climb from obscurity, but for a lot of Arcadians, our title annd house confirmed is...a cornerstone. Without minne I feel like I'm hoping around on one leg with no support near me"

August nods. "I remember, from my own fostering." quietly.

"Saining is a cornerstone for -all- Fae. It will come for you." he assures her.

"Well, at this point, I'm tempted tto find any hold with a namer and book a flight there"

An eyebrow.

Then a small smile that he covers.

"Do you think that would be wise?"

"Probably not, the Baroness might get irked"

"I would say that's a possibility." he agrees gravely.

"Your wife is a force when her temper is on, but you knnow that" a smile

"I do." Sheepishly.

"Lady Minerva, I wish I could give you a date and a time and a location and a promise, but I cannot." gently "I -can- tell you that efforts are being made to meet our resposibilities to you."

"Fine, if you catch me kicking over flowers, it's because my winter is upon me and wihout saining I do not have my true name to keep it all in check" She rises

but despite her words, she says it more fussy than truly angry

"I regret this does not please you. I wish we could do more, faster. " He rises as well.

"So I , but... it's not your fault. Just please see if House Liam has a namer they can send?"

"I will discuss with Baroness Coradel."

"Thank you" She gathers herself and withdraws.

August regards his textbook.... sighs, closes it, and goes in search of Coradel.
