"And Why did I have to come here with my rat?" Jacob raises a brow, clutching Frisby close to keep his rat to himself

"You didn't even invite me to tea" he protests

"You don't enjoy tea."

"Stil should have asked so I could say no to your face" A hurumph

"I see. Shall I ask you next time?" She offers Frisby treats.

"And why do you want my rat? " He asks.. "Don't be subverted, Frisby, she only feeds people on jewish holidays or if she wants something from you"

Frisby's whiskers flicker, maybe being subverted wouldn't be so bad?

"I wish to see if she has any cousins, for Miss Lily."

"Wait, you're doing this for a girl?" He takes his cap off and looks annoyed "man, girls have it easy. Folks just giving them rats."

Ignoring that frisby was given to him as a gift

"So, just gow did YOU get Frisby?"

"Should I take her back?"

"I'm your brother.." he points out "you're supposed to give me things I secretly love but I appear indifferent about." Still he sighs "is lily in trouble?"

"Lily doesn't have a big sister to look after her."

"Feh" he says "I'm pretty self sufficient..." he smooths the outfit he got from his mother, straightens the bow tie he got from Uncle Hey Hey, and pets the rat he got from his sister "And Lily's smart. I think you like her better than me. You don't put bubble gum scent places SHE wants to go." A sigh then "Fiiiiine. just take a single hair from her or a bit of drool. "

Then to clairfy "Frisby's drool or hair, not Lily's"

Gravely. "Thank you for the clarification."

"But I want the right to sneak past your creeky bridge here and into your room"

"No."

"I could tie my neck into a knot until I turn blue" He warns, then just as quickly relents. "Fine. I want Earl to do a painting for me"

Frisby, by this time, is nibbling the treats

She scritches the rat's tiny round ears.

"Okay, one painting I'll let him know what" he steeples his fingers trying for his 'am I plotting, why yes I am' pose

"Hey, you didn't hurt her did ya?" The boy says
