"I know, I know. Twas less than kind. But truly - Namers are often formidable magicians. And there is poison and.. structural collapse? It seems like quite the shanda."

"Of that I can't agree enough" Harrowstep admits "I myself have some insight through, well, benefits of the station that is recognized to me, and the Duchess is a satyr herself and a house sister. I may learn mroe from that angle, but our house holds its secrets tight and for good reason for all though some where will not beleive it"

"I am no Beaumayn, but I am a soothsayer. Da'an is not lightly handled."

"Perhaps the Namer abused his power and da'an itself lead to the scorn of a lover?" Squire Velvet suggests

"Perhaps. But that is... quite a bit from a lover, nu? When he was here, he was respectful. The shanda, well... that was due to several factors."

"Yes, it went poorly." Mr. Gluminsky sips "The mad lion born"

She shakes her head. "I cannot help but think that that was due to the... unusual... circumstances of his soul."

"Lily has done well, but the rest of that family?" A sniff.

"They have become reclusive" Velvet sips "The Thomas's , the parents that is, they have houses in two loations but visit the holds in either only rarely. Though Mrs. Thomas still teaches now and then at the DeBuke farm so I suppose they recharge there"

"It does not seem healthy. Reclusive in a sluagh is one thing...."

"With the exception of Grand Dame Bondraste, they avoid nobles of any sort. They'd hardly be the first to do so" the grump among them says

"Well, aye."

For a long time, there is sipping, quiet, sublime, there's a pattern to these things

"I could inquire about the keyclub?" Velvet offers

"They may know aught, yes."

"Most kind of you," Ruxandra frowns "I feel I should know more than I do. I can make inquires with the Duchess few can."

"We have been poor guests to come so unprepared," GLuminsky agrees "I believe MIss Zara hoped for more from us all."

"True. The satyr seems an easy patsy - but this does not seem like a murder of passion."

"Patsy, you are so sure she was framed?" The countess arches a brow

"I am not. I am saying she seems easy, yet... poison AND collapsing the tower? Why both?"

"Has this silly sybarite the means for all?"

"A fair point.." Gluminski ponders "What if poison brought death, what was the purpose of the collapse?"

"Was something being hidden? And... would this satyr have wished to hide something, yet not hide her guilt?"

"If the namer's death was but one goal, what was the other? What can one take from a dead namer?"

Velvet asks

"That, I do not know."

"Things" Glumisnki says simply "People die, things decay, but at a slower rate. Find what is missing in the rubble, and you find the floor fell. We have been looking at scorn, but avarice .. that too can be a reason to kill"

"the flaw in your suggestion, Mr. Gluminski is that one would need an invetory first, would they not?" Harrowstep points out

"True enough... and there, boggans may well prove useful."

"I suppose my boyfriend may be of use. I am rather vexed with him , of course" Velvet says "But he might put out feelers"

"What do you think is the best angle or approach, Miss Zara?" Miss Harrowstep asks

"I do not know all the players, but... "
