the two wait to see if now is a good time

"Oh! Well, no, not a bad time at all for me. Do you agree, August?"

"Of course. Shall we find a seat to talk?"

"Someplace a bit quiet," Coradel says, out of courtesy for Velvet. "Perhaps here...." she indicates that small antechamber off the audience chamber, the one that's easy to miss if you don't know it's there. She opens the cleverly hidden wood paneled door.

August will take up the rear.

And they slip in

"Please, may yourselves comfortable. Hmmm...I mostly have alcohol here...I don't suppose either of you would care for some?" she offers to the squires while pouring August his usual water and a wine for herself.

"I could ask someone to bring tea, or juice." he adds.

She gives August an amused look, then says to the squires, "And of course, there is water here."

They settle in "Ah, water is fine"

August passes water around as Coradel pours.

"We were thinkingg of how to help the hold best with our quest.. " Tylar says

Coradel settles gracefully onto the small settee. August might sit next to her there, or on the chair nearby. "And you've come up with an idea. I'm intrigued."

He sits next to her, after the squires are seated.

Velvet nods "We heard of an object that enhances kenninng for the purpose of seeing sleepingg or unnawakened kithain souls. While D'an has it's way, it migght like a little help"

She rests a hand lightly on August's arm, but focuses on the squires.

"Indeed? Do you have an idea of how to find it?"

"We have a few clues we need to assemble. We suspect it's in the dreaming but we want to approach it from the right trod" tylar explains

"Well, so far this sounds like a wonderful idea. What do you think, August?"

August thinks "You don't think it would be tempting Da'an?"

"Well, the object was made to help with that purpose, wouldn't that meanit's just doin it's purpose? " Velvet asks, curious

"-If-" he points out.

"Well, if it seems to be a problem, we don't have to use it...but I think it would be a fine thing to have access to, don't you? So at least they could go find it."

A slow nods. "Yes. Yes, they could."

The two look a bit discouraged "if there's something else..."

"No, I think it's a fine idea. You two both know that the Baron is cautious by nature...don't be upset that he is being cautious now." A smile. "It's not my style, but it works for him. And I definitely think you should undertake this Quest."

"And... I -did- suggest the idea of a Quest in the first place. If you feel this is where you should spend your time and effort.....then.... yes."

"True but the baron is quite well learned if he finds this counter productive.." Squirre Velvet looks still unsure

"That is not what I said." he points out gently.

"Squire Velvet, what do you think?"

"I think we have lucked onto some dream dances and it migght better if we increased the odds of finding those trapped inside themselves. That too is right of rescue" She blushes

August nods. "Agreed."

Coradel nods. "I think the item itself would be a benefit. I think the Baron is concerned about it being misused, but that's a question to address once we know precisely what it is and how it works. Good, then. How can we support your preparation for this Quest?"

"Ah, food supplies for Velvet?" Tylar says

'Bookbags" Velvet says

She nods at both of these suggestions, then gives them a look. "Weapons?"

"I have a sword" Tylar says "And shield"

"I have a boyfriend with a sword" Velvet says

August nods.

A warm smile for both of them. "I will make sure that Delores knows you will need appropriate supplies. When do you hope to leave?"

"Well, with Sir Sergei out, I figured I should hold off, but in three days?" Tylar offers "Sooner if he comees back?"

August nods. "That will give me time to work with Benny a bit so he can step in. Not as a squire but just to pick up a few odds and ends."

"Three days sounds reasonable," she agrees.

"Yes, my lord, we thought about that. We asked Sir Earl. He is willing to loan you Squire Nelson somewhat"

"Ah. Yes. If needed."

"Excellent!" She raises her glass. "To the coming quest -- may it be successful!"

They raise their own glasses "For the glory of Earth Runes" Tylar says

"And learning" Velvet adds

August lifts a hand and rises to pour a small splash of wine in a fresh glass before saluting "To the glory and edification of Earth Runes."
