"The coolest." Fondly. "Im sure she will listen to you."

"Welll... maybe" A nose wrinkle "I don't think I GET sluagh. I mean, I saw Symon but he was kind of greasy weird. Point I don't need to make things worse here than they have to be. Donn't want to pull a Jordan" A snerk at somethinng, then she looks at Augugst "So you work for Zara? Guess you'd knnow if she's cool then. She's not a mean boss?"

"A.... Jordan? Ah.... no, not mean. An exactung mistress to be sure. Perhaps I have allowed for some confusion. We are more... coworkers. My name is August."

"Nice to meet you August" A nod "Co-worke.." A beat "ers. Wait. BARON August?"

"For my sins, yes." Shyly.

"I suck at this" She growls to no one in particular "I'm sorry, Baron.. uh... just pretend I'm curtseying"

"Please be at ease." Gently. " I do not stand overmuch on formalities, when the intent is kind."

"Yeah well, I donn't know if I'm kind either. I like to hit things. " A shrug "Kind of how the baroness and I got along. She's QUICK, and tougher than she looks"

He chuckles. "Yes."

"Hmm maybe that's why I was sent here. I want to be one"

"Thanks.. I better go now... " A look "Books bore me"

"Im sorry to hear that. I look forward to meeting again."

"Sure.." She turns to go

"Ah, there you are!" Coradel says from the library door upon spotting August.

And he smiles, like the sun appearing.

"Oh, and Daria. I see you've met the Baron," she adds, smiling as she moves to August to give him a soft kiss hello.

"Oh...yes. I didn't KNOW He was the baron. But he was nice even when I screwed up" Daria nods "I see why you picked him. He's nice AND good looking. "

She does not say this flirtatiously, just matter of fact

"See?" Coradel says with an air of victory as she gives August a gentle poke in the ribs.

"Were you looking for a book, Daria?"

"No. I don't much care for books, I came to apologize to Zara." She says "You said she probably wasn't mad so I thought i best make it all good"

"Oh?" She glances around for Zara, and not seeing her, says, "How did that go?"

"She and Earl are out. "

"Yes. I didn't see her"

"Ahh." Coradel nods, then turns to Daria again. "If you don't like books, I suspect it might be because you haven't read the right ones. I can suggest a few...." she offers.

She's already moving to a shelf.

"Oh.. you don't need to..." She squirms "Do that"

August would recognize that she's plucking out a book of Greek myths...an illustrated history of ancient battles...and after a glance at the wilder and a flicker of a grin, a volume of Rumi. None of them are particularly thick books.

She hands them to Daria. "There. August, would you sign these out to Daria?"

"Does it..come in movies?" A look at the books

"Well, in a way, but generally not as well as in the original." She taps the books with a well-manicured fingertip.

"Oh! But there are certainly some movies for you to see, too!"

"Great" Daria says now carrying books "Uhm thank you"

August smiles softly as he watches.

"Dont think of it as a school assignment. Think of it as a way of learning about ypur people."

Coradel nods agreement with August. "And August, what do you think, should she start on The Princess Bride?"

"The movie, I mean," she adds, giving August a wink.

"But I know my people. There's Fawn and Ganbold, and Tiara... Linnwood, JOrdan..."

"Oh, those are your people here. But fae, and centaurs in particular, have a rich history. You may find some interesting stories in particular in this one," she indicates the Greek myths.

"Well..." She eyes it "is there fighting in it?"

Coradel nods emphatically.

"mm" she cheers up "Okay. Thanks"

"My pleasure. Take good care of them -- you would not want the Librarian to have a reason to get upset with you."

August nods in agreement.
