Oh, French poetry and songs written down!

"I wonder if Blake was Satyr kin" A chuckle "Well, she's almost done with that one, then I can read it"

"Indeed... love songs? A new interest?"

"I am Fiona" he smiles "I don't intend to sing them often, the other book is a rarer and not so poetically inclined"

"Aye?" She reaches to see it, spurred by curiosity and the simple desire to know.

"Oh my! Oh, Bachdion, I must read this..."

"You and the dragon both it seems. This book is very rare, there are only 3 copies of each of the volumes known to exist. Rumor has it, a mortal writer got a glimpse of one while enchanted and was inspired to right.. what was it? Something of Avalon? Decades ago. SHe put her own tilt on it, dreamers always do, but this is as near to the real deal as you are likely to find" He smiles at the book "You and your dragon are free to look at it when I'm done. "

"Three volumes? Indeed..."

"Yes, would that I could get my hand on them, but the fellow simply wouldn't part with volume two." Bachdion sighs

Her eyes sparkle. "What fellow?"

"The Marquis Boniface d'Colline, a fellow Fiona. Has no formal land, but a fantastic estate which has a weak flame at the heart of it. He has very little political power as it comes to that he has no fief outside his weak holding, but because of that and his fine title, he's parlayed it into a position of influence as a neutral party. Like you, he's a biblophile"

"Oh, I should make his acquaintance..."

"He's in France, my dear, you know how traditional they can be. And I'm fraid he won't part with his only other copy of Volume One as I have this, and would sooner die than part iwth volume 2"

"He needn't part. But I shall read it." She nods. "Let him try to stop me."

"Oh, and I could visit my friend!" She smiles at the thought. "Yes, it will be just the thing..."

"Friend? " Curious

"And Zara, while he's a gentleman in some regards, he does take demense seriously. And has the rights of a lord"

"I have friends in many places." Smug as a cat.

She spreads her hands, looking innocent. "Think you I would steal it?"

Bronte perks up, hopeful almost

"I think you might get the brush off when you ask to read it and I'd hate to see you hurt" He says gently, and snatches the first book up , the one of french songs and poetry, now that Bronte is finished "Tell you what, you two read volume one first if you like. that should suffice yes? I was going to have our good Scribe copy it so when I return this we would have a copy for here"

"Oh, it would be lovely in August's hand.. but, forgive, what man can truly appreciate Morgainne? Nay, this Marquis must allow me to read it. The work deserves a worthy audience."

"A WORTHY audience?" THe satyr's jaw falls "Zara, I think you a woman of studies among the elite of academics, but if you go in and tell the Marquis he is not worthy of it but you are, he's liable to burst a vein"

A toothless grin. "Truly?"

"If he does, why, then I may pluck it up to digest at my leisure." Cheeky!

"You're certainly feeling your oats this night" Bachdion scratches his chin and appraises her "I just don't want confidence to become overconfidence, and yes, I realize the hypocrisy of a Fiona saying that. Please, if you approach him, be respectful and kindly take no for an answer"

"I know my manners, of course. Though I do feel... yes, I do feel most well."

"Well the first volume is yours to read tonight if you like, I imagine you'll savor it"

"I shall! Thank you, Bachdion."

"you're welcome," He bows politely

She bows extravagantly, hand on her heart.

"Darling, allow Bachdion is love songs... we have a book to read, nu?"

"Aye..." A pleased smile.

And out she glides.

Impatient, she opens the book so she and Bronte may read as they walk!

Zara is lucky, even with her keen senses, not to hit wall or object as she reads, for soon she simply must find a place to sit down, so engrossing is this! No doubt therei s more than one Morgan Le Fae in the Dreaming... indeed, some sidhe have claimed they were the inspiration, but whoever wrote this speaks of witchery that transcends kith.

She finds a secluded corner - one with enough light for Bronte, though her eyes do not require such.

Oh this is the woman at her youngest, a child, discovering that her 'father' visiting her mother was no father of hers. She resented Merlin's aid to the man,how could she not, but she also needed to take this magic, this power, for herself. How else a woman such as she to stand for herself? But for much of the book, this volume one, she is a child ,and then a child in the throes of becoming a woman, not truly a master, but seeking out the old names of a hundred and eleven gods others have forgotten. ALready learning to speak with beast, or call to fire. And driven, driven, to know...

Zara empathizes, yes.

it's a diary, with all the biases and passions of the writer implied. She can be fickle, sometimes even sympathetic to Arthur ,and in awe of Merlin, other times wanting to tear down what they build up. Zara is almost sad to see the Translated Diary of Morgan Le Fay Volume one end. Well, she knows better where to get volume two

then it sinks in... Morgan did not live long in some legends. She did in others. But there were references to the witch's study!

And that's when she wonders, would Volume 3 be not more diary? but.. Morgan's Grimmoire? her book of shadows? Her traiining spell book?

A soft sigh, the mix of satisfaction and regret when a book ends...
