As Zara goes to the dress maker's room, she hears the clacking of a loom

quite busy in fact behind the door, but more that, scurrying!

Zara peeps, making effort to be unseen!

Vashti is in a panic, there appear to be swams of spiders, it must be hundreds, on the ceiling, creating incredible amounts of web silk! Vashti races about trying to make sure it lines up with her looms, the big one and the smaller one, as she works to turn it into spider silk material!

Oh dear... the poor spiders are fit to bursting... some sort of spring magic gone awry!

There's one of the sisters in the mass, looking quite put out, this is SO undignified

Zara examines the magic more closely - this seems distressed, not good. Perhaps she can calm it or mitigate it...

Yes, definitely some sort of spring magic backlash. Her sister is tryingg to gaher the precious silk as fast as she can, evenn using quick silver. Mmm

Zara could try to fair fortune the cantrip itself, tricky, but wouldn't it be fortunate if it ended? Namingg would work wonders too with the right ward she could bottle up the excess...

or.. perhaps, she could actually redirect, allow the magic to stop blessing the webs but instead work through them?

She must get closer. Zara slips into the room, letting her hand drift close to the webbing. "Aye, magic... listen, and see, where thou shouldst be..."

the strands are, for the most part, not too sticky and good thing, already some are threatening to spill on her

She half closes her eyes. and her hands almost dance - elaborate gestures, to make a show of light. "Where thou shouldst be..." A fuddle, an illusion, a pathway... showing the magic where Zara desires it to be.

And the spiders above give chittering signs of relief as insead of productivity of webbingg, the magic goes into the webbing instead

"Oh sister, thank you for letting me on the ark" The swamped Vashti finally breathes with relief

"What went awry, sister?"

"I had thought after a life time of death I would try a light diet of some spring on my plate. I put out some fine wine for the spiders" She gestures to a goblet now nearly empty but with blood remnnan and cast.. "Oh sister I did not mind the Ps and cues and he magic did run amuck... EVERY Arachnid in a mile's cup ranneth over..." a shake of her head "And then you came in" She works on getting the last sttrands

"Spring magic is not my strength... but oft times, a new art can run hot and cold. This, I know well."

She wipes her brow as spiders scatter out, a few glaring at her "Oh sister, what am I to do? I have lost their trust. I will need gallons of pig blood and I think number six is Kosher only"

"Mm. Popcorn also delights them, as a treat."

"And the madness was eased. Patience, dear sis."

"Popcorn, I must claim all the popcorn in the kingdom" Still a bit fussed, but unwinndingg, she runs her fingers through the last batch of spider silk "How curious... sprinng magic IN the material?"

"Aye. A good omen, perhaps, for a new beginning?"

"Yes, this might be of.. interest.. thank you sister dreaded" A smile

"Anytime, sister devious."

A brief hug is exchanged, "And how did thy praise of the greatest of Scarscales Fathers go?"

"Oh, the usual...."

"Ah, a full chorus orchestra and rose petals?"

A soft smile. "No nockers, so quiet pleasantness. And baked goods."

"Methinks such a rabble rouser as he hated every blissful moment" She has returned to gathering the materials

"Now, where did Shalimar find thee? You were not in the library, I threw him in there to check"

"Nay, at my River."

Vashti winces "Mine apologies, sister. Tis my sworn goal to have every haven disrupted"

"I may have been snappish."

"I gave him one of Mama's muffins as an olive branch."

"Snappish thee? nay, thou art honey on toast in thy sweetness as you should be when accousted" A chuckle there "My love's heart is gold, his bones rubber, he'll bounce should he be injured"
