Perhaps it is the pooka nearby that has Earl so chatty

Vince listens, and ponders this.

August shakes his head, dismissing that. "That doesn't matter, Earl. Not to me. He has been good to and for the Hollows."

"Perhaps, an envoy to show support? And try to smooth down the ruffled manes."

Earl raises a brow "I don't know, August, if you treat the weakest or least accepted among that badly or even allow it to happen, clearly there's a flaw in leadership"

Earl looks to Vince "I suppose.. that's really more a Coradel call wouldn't it be?"

He purrs.

The Sidhe nods. "I do not have standing to send an envoy."

"Art thou not Baron?"

"Or is the title just a name, and elsewise, 'barren'?"

A pause And earl muses

"I am a baron, but without a holding. Landless. It's a title without a 'Fire." he explains without rancor.

"Ah, I see. And being such, thou are powerless, friendless, unable to speak thyself." He muses, sadly.

"But you do run a banner house, why not send someone in that set up if you want to? Ivory or Temerity? There have to be mortals who need love there right?"

"In Scarsdale? I can -promise- you."

But the idea catches his attention. "Fieldwork..... hm."

"At one time, a ...kinain I know has her relationship targeted" He does not go into details "It was stopped, but A truthbranch could make a difference if something like that happens to another"

"Do you, or rather, does she, need our help now?

"No no.. it's all good now" He assures

He nods. "I'll.... consider who might be a good fit from the bannerhouse. Someone who needs to stretch themselves, perhaps."

"What a convocation." A soft whisper, approving.

August looks around into the shadows and corners, perking.

Zara wafts against Earl's side, like a curl of smoke.

Earl turns surprised then smiles "hello"

August smiles as well.

"Greetings." She reaches out to touch the troll's painted arm. "This is new."

It ripples at her toouch, dry but acting as if it were liquid under the hardness

(Gives Vince five seconds to meta commentary)

Vince bows elegantly to Zara. "My friend!"

Grey lips quirk into a little smile, and she runs her delicate fingertips along the pebbled surface.

"It is a delight, is it not? I designed this part myself." His tail swishes and SMACKS Earl in the rump. "See, the rainbow of delight!"

Hand on her chest and a bow in return. "Vince."

It shifts, the colors run into each other . Earl says "It's a reward from Alabaster.." He jumps "HOLLOW" A look at Vince

Guileless smile.

Earl coughs and says "I have something for you"

A soft chuff, then. "Aye?"

A delicate laced glove, pale, gray, almost web like in it's pattern, allowing her equally pale skin to poke through, should she put it on

August watch with interest.

An eyebrow, and she kens it.

Some sort of prrotective magic.. and.. waitt, did family work on this? Hirim or Miriam?

"It's your reward and protection " he says

Head-tilt. "This... oh, Hirim... he does fuss..."

But she does try on the glove.

Vince reaches out and flick sat her hand with his tail, curiously.

The reaction is amazing! As Zara is 'attacked' the gloves spreads all over her body like a second skin! and Vince is BLINDED! for the most amazing NEON PURPLE flares in dots and swirls with other colors clashing ..

"...oh dear..."

Zara is now encased in this garish garment that is oddly rigid.. save.. for a slit up the back she can squirm out of, leaving a decoy shape behind.
