"She told you about the vault?" earl says surprised later as Zara and he have a meal

"Well, she has decided I am a DeBuke now."

A light blush but he looks pleased

"Emmitt wants two chickens and a cow. Since I stole you." A grin.

BLINK

Then a face palm "I'm so sorry they're just .. so embarrassing"

She laughs.

"Well, since I stole you, I shan't pay. I did offer to make him dinner."

A chuckle "He should take that and call it a win, for a young lady who has shall we say, tastebuds inclined towards the expired, you're a decent cook"

"Mama taught me well. And I like making things for you."

"And I like eating them" He admits

"Maybe a bit too much" he looks at his midsection worriedly.

"Mmm..." She rests her head on his belly, testing its pillow-worthiness.

If anything, it has grown more muscled, the slight gain in girth is not fat

"Nay. I shall make thee latkes and donuts and pie."

"Zara, if I roll over you in the night you might smother"

"Aye, but there is little padding to be had."

He rolls his eyes and pulls her towards him onto his lap unless she truly protests, "Protein and corn. Iowan trolls need protien and corn"

".... and donuts."

"Okay really who says no to donuts of some sort?"

"Precisely."

"Oh ah.. I talked to the Count of Alabaster Hollow again"

"Oh?"

"About the armor"

"Ohhh..."

"Yeah, i mentionned wantin something protecive for you. he's made some requitions"

"It mustn't get in the way of squirming..."

"We couldn't have that"

"Nay. And I must be able to sneak..."

"Oh a veritable must" a nod

"Better I just avoid a fight, nu?"

"Yes but fights won't always avoid you" He points out

"One near-death encounter, and you fuss."

"I'm funny that way" he says

"Fuss!" She insists, as she keeps her head on his belly - pinning him as firmly as any cat.

And he strokes her hair "So.. I have taken the liberty of commisioning something for your needs. I cannot make you wear it, but there, it is done"

"Well, I shall certainly model it for thee."

A light blush at that and a raven near them both makes inquisitive noises

"Oh, you!" Raspy laughter.

"I blame you when that bird is shameless " Earl tells her and gives her a kiss

She returns the kiss, to ravensong.

And.. yes indeed, door locked, lights dimmed, and a pale throat being being kisses by lips of blue ... any visitors may have to wait a while
