A sad smile. "I have not suffered the loss of one I love as he has, but I have brushed close. I had the same symptoms. "

"I bet your friends coaxed you back into the land of the living though" he says

"over rated" Velvet opines regarding the land of the living

"They did not." August says mildly. "It was more direct, forceful, and unwelcome than 'coaxing.' Although the end result was beneficial."

"That said, it is good that Adam has strong friends such as yourself, Tylar."

"Well, aftter I'm done here, I'm at least going to let him know I'm there for him" Tylar says

Velvet has peeked towards the hallway, distracted

It's as if the droopy flower were just for her!

She blushes, and feels a bit guilty but she takes it.

The leaves wilt fetchingly, the petals withered.

Tylar looks over then sees his girlfriend with something "Velvet?"

Velvet turns , but flower not in sight as she palms it behind her "Yes?"

He says "Sorry thought..." Confusion "nevermind"

August looks over with a politely interested expression.

Velvet blushes "Twould seem I have another admirer" And she shows he wiltered flower

Tylar blinks, then stares at the flower "Another admirer?"

Velvet pouts "Thinkest thou I cannnot have others who admire me?"

The boggan suddenly imagines a large Fish headed pooka warning him 'IT'S A TRAP'

"You're worthy of a thousand admirers" He admits "I just.. am selfish and want to be the only one who getts to openly do so." A blush of his own

This appears to be the right answer "You must not be jealous" a beat "Too jealous. It could merely be a kindness"

August hides his (amused) expression on his work.

"Well, now I feel I must out do it, I'm afraid I'm not feeling very mature right now" Tylar says still blushing

"I would forgive that particular bout of immaturity" Velvet says graciously

As August smiles, a cluster of Fiona-red carnations bloom at his feet. It's spreading!

He blinks at the flowers. "Ah. Hm."

"What's this?" Velvet says surprised

"I seem to have developed flowers."

"Love is in the air it seems. The library most strongly but.. no, it could not be Miss Zara's influence, not here. Tis the Baronss who would be tied this far from the library. She thinks of you?"

"or.." A pause "oh my" It is Tylar who speaks

August blushes lightly at the idea it could be Coradel's thoughts of him creating such phenomena, but he asks Tylar "Oh my?"

"Currently, in the Baroness absence, with you forgoing the honor, the one in charge of the holding would be the Stewardess." He ponders "She has taken more time off of late. Not a lot. but enough that ...well, she's been smiling more too. Is it possible what has started in the library she's let spread?"

"Steward Delores has a paramour?" Vevlet mses

August blinks. "I ... suppose? But please, that is speculation. We all deserve the privacy of our own thoughts and feelings. Whatever might be suspcted.... I hope we can avoid doing so out loud."

"Ah, no wonder Miss Zara appreciates you so, Baron" Velvet says "You too, would prefer no shanda"

"It is a common preference between us." he agrees.

August makes a few last marks, and sets his pen down again. "There. I think that's it."

"Anything for me to deliever, lord?" Velvet asks

"Yes, these... and Tylar these."

Tylar nods "Yes, Baron" He takes them. He's eager to check on his friend but will see to his duty first

Perhaps August senses as much. "Youa may both have the rest of the day after that."

"Thank you, Baron" Both chime at the same time at that

August smiles and nods, dismissing them.

And off they go

And August selects a book to relax with.
