"Regent Sparrow?" A knock on her door!

"What? Hello?" She opens the door. She has a fleck of malachite green on her nose, and another of cadmium yellow on her forehead.

Jonas says "You've probably only seen me around..." The troll says "Right now I have to hurry and run, but I am paramour to Lady Captain Siv. you DO know here better I'm sure. She has a request of you..." And a nod "And this is Wencenslais. he has something you may need."

"He.. what? Hi?" Wings fluff, reflecting her uncertainty.

The sluagh before her is a bedraggled fellow, but he has recently faded wounds, and carries a box "I hear you're a warrior. We need a ringer... don't touch this unless you are willing to save people from slavery and fight a balor who uses poison. that is... he is going to try to. If Siv does what she plans.. it will be free of the poison"

"Slavery? Balor?"

She straightens. "You need help? I can fight."

"Wenceslaus can explain everything... but he stays here if you'd be so kind as to grant an escaped Serf whose dcrime is wanting to leave a land haven as Regent?" Jonas says "I'll vouch for him"

"I have that much authority here. Spare Baroness privilege."

"thank you, baroness"

And then the sluagh explains very quickly, very detailed... he apologizes "pleaase forgive this gregariousness.. i's unseemly"

"Our librarian is, as I understand, a chatterbox."

"Slavery is... no, that goes against all dreams of Concordia. I can fight the Balor."

"every witch has a wart" the sluagh shrugs

Jonas says "Good. I hav e to get back to my position. Baroness.. is ito kay if I go ahead or do you think you can be ready, armed and armored in five minutes?"

She considers and nods. "I can be ready."

Jonas says "Tempus Fugit, Baroness. I have two women counting on me to be somewhere.. and I do not intend to fail them"

"Right!" And she's off in a whirl of golden feathers.

Wenceslaus shakes his head at this enthusiasm. you'd never see a sluagh risking themselves so cavalierly

Sparrow is quite efficient - she's back in minutes!

"Bless you" And off Jonas leads her. She has the box. And when she's ready to touch the heart. He'll know

"So... you'll tell me when to touch it?"

"Siv might be fearless, but I don't want to jinx your Lady-Captain."

"I think if you touch it when we get there it will work"

She nods. "Fair enough."

"Siv changed the plan on us. She wanted pay back on this man testing her own skills.But she says you're the better fighter, and this is about more than her ego" Jonas says

"I.. well, I'd rather fight a Balor than some other things I've faced. Don't get cut. Cut him more."

"he's good. Siv's equal even without the poison"

"But you were saying he's enslaved how many commoners?"

"Apparently dozens. the entire barony has.. these things in their neck, look like tattoos" As they travel

"I don't want to know what becomes of the dreamers, do I?"

"Not sure on that.. oddly the town seems to have it's share and doing okay, but the fae look.. lean?"

"Unseelie can be greedy."

And into the Dreaming they go... coming out on the other side, Sparrow feels refreshed.

She looks it - a sparkle in her eyes and bronze feathers fluffed. The prospect of a Good Fight seems to have awakened her.

Sparrow looks at the town and realizes how..incredibly high up Fort Davis is..compared to it's nearest other towns. Jonas says "How close do you want to get to the hold before issuing challenge?"'

"His hold would be his place of strength, full of allies... presumably. So better to call him out..."

She looks down the dusty street. "I.. rather feel like I'm in a Sergio Leone movie."

JOnas actually smiles at that

She looks about, and in the mountain range, she can see the Freehold. It is not as.. hateful to view as she thought it might be given Balor situations

Her wings stretch, subconsciously feeling the high currents.

"You know... yes. I want to be up there."

"I.. Yes. It is good flying country" He has had wings himself now and then. He knows

"Exactly. Let's make haste."

"After you" He says

She nods and leads on.

He takes the form of a hawk and follows

And thus, above, she touches the object inside the box.
