Zara kens the cane, getting a feel for it.

SHe knows it so well, and yet, it is soemwhat different. IT has been touched by fate, and greatly! Before it was a treasure of chicanery alone, lust alone. Now, while it still works with lust.. it its as if it has thorugh destruction become more nuanced, or might be.

She raps the cane against the table, thrice. "Mind me, and answer my questions three."

Zara feels the magic curve back, and realizes she was ALMOST compelled to answer three questions asked of her. From anyone

but she overcomes

and the cane will answer for itself without dragging her along

"What is the best way to separate thee from me?"

"Best is a subjective thing aye? " It says whispering back in her own voice "Transferal would surely work, but one would be bound as you are now. A nudge of name so I do not know thee is possible for a namer master. Or mayhaps one could go to the dreaming and find the forking waters of the Equinox Rivers"

Eyebrows lift at the third.

"What are the Equinox Rivers?"

"In the far dreaming, lays the rivers, some call them yin and yang, some call them White Run and Black Rush. Some call them Twixt and Tween, To and Fro. Many names. WHre they cross, they fork again, at this point, the rivers break again, and they do not share"

"Aye, aye... and who, now, is thy master?"

"I have no master, save perhaps thee, but then, I would be your master in turn if it were so. But there is no fealty, only a connection"

"How do I find these rivers?" She risks.

"That... I do not know"

a pause "But I bet you have a book about it" And the glamour fades

A little sniff.

That done, she takes out a piece of chalk. The cane rests on her table, and begins to inscribe a seal around it... creating a framework she may soon fill with the letters of its name.

If anyone else did this, even with chalk, to her library table? Well, she'd take steps. Unpleasant steps. but she IS the librarian so... well, it's okay

ALone, it suits her nature to have a silent bunk.

Prepared, she casts, and braces... she is not just a sainer, not just a mistress of the Fae Realm. She is.. a Librarian! And Librarians know how to sort! The Cane will give ITS name only, thank you

And the pattern shifts before her eyes, and only her eyes, and snow she has it's name.

"There we go." And in knowing, there is more a sense of IT and SHE as different beings.

Yes. The knowledge of the name, the TRUE name ,should help her resist any spell cast through the link. But the link is still there. Now less like an nother limb, and now more like a tube stuck in her arm. Unpleasant, but definitely not crucial

Little hexa (Sexa... well, or just plain sister six) looks curious as if should she NOW get the satyr?

A nod.

And off she goes.

"Ow" from the other side of the door "I wasn't eavesdropping.. I was just staying close. No need to bite. Sheesh" And Zane comes in rubbing at his hand "I hope I'm not envenomed"

"Well, one can hope."

Hexa gives signal he's not, but no need to tell him

"Thanks, thanks a lot" He eyes the spider bite, "Thought sexa liked me."

She does but don't tell him that either

He looks up "What did we learn?" A cough "I mean, what did you learn that you're willing to share with your fellow student?"

"Well, Emmitt could fix this..."

Nose wrinkle.

"Or, yes, I believe I could set the tether to you. But it... it is a very dangerous tether."

He wrinkles his nose too at the idea of telling Emmit at the second "Sounds like. I'd try to break it after the switch because I should take the risks, but if you have an idea how to break it?"

"There is, it seems a place in the Dreaming - twin rivers, the Equinox, in which the bond may be washed clean."

"Third shelf, second case" he mutters and goes to look "That's the Dreaming books I think. I know about this location though. Trolls consider it unnatural. Fear that it can destroy even an Oath"

"Well, I hold no Oaths."

"And trolls are a bit weird about oaths anyway" A pause 'Err no offense to your guy. It's just, well, I know a lot of trolls too and they can be weird about oaths. So.." he says to her "When do we take this thing to the rivers?"

ANd finds a book "Of RIver and Streams in the Land of Dreams this the right one?"

"Likely, yes. I would like to brush up on my reading... but we should go sooner rather than later."

"Agreed" He puts the book gently on the table then bliinks at the chalk drawing "I've GOT to learn naming one day" A sigh

And the two read... and research. With Zara dictating what books to focus on, and if tea will be gathered.

Zane gets to give opinions!

And he should be honored that he's allowed them, all the spiders agree
