"This was mine." Softly. It's a mix of emotions - happiness, yes, but others that are harder to give name to.

August nods, and looks at teh book reverently. "It will take some time to finish the copy. I'll keep it behind the library desk, in a locked drawer. If you want to spend time with it."

A pause. "She died. Before the end of the war. It was another life which greeted the resurgence."

"And yet another life that greeted me." fondly.

"Aye..." A smile. "An old, old friend."

"I will take special care of this." He touches the book with a gloved fingertip.
