it's crowded. Boggans move about with trays

Squires wander to tasks

"Excuse me...."he asks a passing boggan "Do you know where Icould find Sir Magnus?"

"Oh he's in his room with his wife no doubt. " A gesture

"That way, down the hall.. just knock"

"Oh. How about Grand Dame Bondraste?"

"Grand Dame Bondraste ap Fiona? The Champion of Clashing Rivers? Conqueror of the Tri Zeta? Despoiler of Garant the Formerlhy Pure?"

"I.... guess?Could be her, sure."

"She's with the childlings" A gesture "With warden Ludmilla " directions there

"Nab, got a preference?"

"I'm good with any you know them better tahn I sso... no" She says

Adam nods. "Ok. Let's go meet the Grand Dame. She's -amazing-." And he leads her in that direction.

A group of childlings are listening to an old woman telling the story, "But ," Grand Dame Bondraste says "D'rtanian said 'i have the heart of a musketeer' and thus swore himself to aid the very men he had offended and was supposed to duel with! Well, to say they were stunned at his reckless courage and tireless honor would be to putting it mildly. Athos nodded and said, 'Very well then, One for all...."

the childlings chime in "And all for one!"

Adam doesn't interupt, but listens in. One arm slides around Nab's waist and holds her close.

The old woman nods "And so the true fight began against the wicked Cardinal's guards... but that, " the dear sidhe lady says "Is for another time. I wouldn't want you get bored with a story. May I come back tomorrow"

Enri says "You gotta! Or I'll die!"

Isis tugs at the pants of Ludmilla "Capture her for me, make her tell the rest?"

"I think that's a yes, thank you, Grand Dame. I appreciate you... glossing over some parts" Releif in the troll woman's face.

"Mmmph back tomorrow then" The old woman starts to rise

Adam hops forward and offers her his arm. "Hello."

"oh what timing, a gent to help these old bones up" She says rising, then sees Nabuni.

Nab has shifted her garb to be a bit more modest, probably because their are kids present

Adam escorts her over. "Grand Dame, this is Nabuni. Nab, this is Grand Dame Bondraste, one of my mentors."

"Oh my," Grand Dame Bondraste beams "what a lovely chimera. And so advanced too. No mere bit of hazy fluff are you my dear?"

Nab dimples "I've tried being simple .. I keep messing it up."

A chuckle from the old woman, "A delight. " Then she admits to Adam "I heard heard you were tied to a Chimera but I thought she was shorter"

"She used to be."Adam smiles at Nab.

"Adam and I both have been through a lot of changes, Grand Dame. " Nab admits

"I believe it," the old woman says "But come, let's go a bit further out shall we? Ludmilla doesn't need us distracting her charges"

Adam offers his free arm to Nab.

Nab takes it

"What a gent" the grand dame smiles "Now, clearly you two are tied in a way. Adam, I notice you've not evoked your power over her? "

"My.... power?"

He looks at Nab, back to Bondraste.

Nab blinks "Pardon?"

"Oh I don't mean like a slave," A nose wrinkle from the old woman, "But how you visualize her probably has influence over her. You clearly don't see her as a servant, or a weapon. Am I right?"

"Yes, ma'am. Of course not."

"You see her as a paramour and comrade is that it?" There's no mockery

"Yes, ma'am." He smiles at the chimera.

Nab blushes

"that's helped Shape Nabuni" A nod "I suspect, if you had visuzlized her in a different light for long enough, she'd be quite different. Had you wanted a comrade in battle, she might be an amazon of sorts"

"Oh, she can be that."

"Ha" Nab scoffs

"You can!"he insists loyally.

"Sorry, but you dont' like your girls in danger" Nab says "You don't want me to be a warrior"

"Well of course Iwant to protect the people Icare about." reasonably "BUt you could -look- like an Amazon, easy."
