"Something in celebration of women. All of the males must wear their sunday finest gowns... our Baron, in particular, looks stunning in Taffeta and lace..."

Apologetic, his tone - he cannot but help it, he is a pooka.

"Of course," She says "I'll get them to it right away... and I'll make sure the dressmaker has forewarning for dresses and the like. Mmm. Perhaps the music will focus on horns, triumphant trumpets? but with ear muffs for Miss Zara and Squire Velvet?"

Another fond smile to Vince. She understands. Then a nod to Delores. "French horns. They have that lovely muted sound, don't they?"

"They do," She nods

"Oui Oui." He nods.

"That might be more manageable for them."

Then a sigh. "Honestly, Whiskers, my legs are falling asleep." A light tickle along his ribs.

"Then I shall have to carry you off?" He flops over, pinning her just a bit more securely.

"I'll set things in motion and leave you to Vince's medicinal needs" Delores says. Chipper and she curtsies

"Augh!" A cry of dismay that she doesn't really mean.

"Where I shall take thee, thou hast no need of legs. But keep them, pray, they are lovely to look upon."

And he rolls off, and if not dissuaded, will indeed scoop her up.

"Oh, Delores, before you go...have you seen my purple sash? It wasn't in the bureau."

"The purple looks most dashing with my golden tail."

"No," She says with a frown "And you haven't used it"

Then a surprised and pleased yelp as she is scooped and carried.

"Not recently I mean" She brows

"No, I... well... I will ask August if he has stashed it about somewhere."

"I'll ask Charity to keep an eye out for it, she might know" A nod

"Thank you, Delores," she adds as Vince seems determined to carry her off elsewhere.

"I shall sew you a dozen dozen sashes, enough to clothe all the harems of the Arabian princes of yore, but weep, they shall, for you are a jewel that shines beyond them all! Let us see if you shine as well in the dark.... I do believe, you shall."

And she is carried off... to someplace dark, to shine.

A light laugh as she is whisked away.

Whiskered! ...away!

Delores watches them go and smiles fondly. She's proud of her friend and happy to call her liege. And Vince is, well, he's tonic for the soul. Even if sometimes he does deserve to have his tail yanked.

And she goes to find Charity
