The old pooka wobbles about on her cane in surprise. "Oh my , the fixer upper people did a wonderful job here" As she looks about and really SEES the hold for what it truly is. Oh, she is a dim brown light, but she is a light now.. where before she was just there. Her old soul has peeked out.

It's almost as if she sneezed, her fae mein might retreat, but for now, for the first time in a while, she remembers who she was, really is, and smiles

"Oui, Auntie... it's all held together with staples and pasteboard, but it's sharp.."

"Well snazzier than the family log near Red Stick" She bobs her head and smiles, her fuzzy ears alert

"amazing" a soft whisper says from a corner.

Emma sees Squire Velvet, the sluagh is staring at her aunt with fascination and reverence.

"Bonjour, Viola! You know my little niece, non?"

" i have not had the honor" the squire says with admiration, "thy aunt is the soul of venerable glory"

Her aunt whispers to her Niece "Emmakins, I think she's found my ole portfolio of shine and tawdry centerfolds"

"I think she's calling you a cajun, Poppy."

"Oh, welll, now I'm blushing" the old woman says.

"I mean no disrespect, revered elder," Velvet actually does blush a bit, "but the study of ..people in conditions like yourselves if a fascination to me"

A fussy noise and she checks Poppy's forehead with the back of her hand.

No fever.

Relief!

The old woman puts a hand over Emma's and pats it.

"See that, star eyes, your friend is an expert in Virgos"

"Or am I a Pices? I forget"

"You are all of the stars, Poppy." A air-kiss.

"oo social distancing" she smiles "touch is death"

"it's a good time to be alive" the sluagh agrees

"Oh, yes, I am enjoying this very much." Mournful.

"Ah me apologies, healer, your front line work is much appreciated" Velvet blushes

"Oh! Did you see my mask? I am, after all, a raccoon..." She takes out a blue fabric mask - blue, scattered with little star trek deltas.

"most artistic and prudent..." Velvet nods

"Live long and doctor" her Aunt beams... well, not like in beam up, but smiles

she does sigh as she fails to get the vulcan salute "Darn hemorrhoids"

Emma happily :spock-hand: back

That gets her an air kiss from her auntie

Happy tail-swish, happy whiskers.

"Oh, Healer Emma, I'm about to talk to the Steward, are there any supplies you need me to ask for on your behalf?" Velvet offers to help. Though she does remain fascinated with the living candle near her end that is the aged pooka

"Oh, Carnival costumes." She nods, placing a hand over her mouth. "And glamorous evening wear..." She mimes pulling on gloves.

"I believe I understand" Velvet mimics the mask and gloves motions, "I shall inform her right away. Your pardon" She splays her fingers over her heart "An honor to meet you, revered one" to Emma's aunt.

"Any friend of pookie pie is a friend of Pookie Pie" Her aunt responds

And the sluagh slips away

Emma's auntie looks her, shining , however dimly, with her fae self showing "We have so much to catch up on... is the high hat here a goodun?"

"Oh! Most terrible! Why, fell and dour and stingy!"

"Well, we shall have to Robin and Robbere hood...rob from the rich, and take a nap in their fine night jammies" Her eyes sparkle as they move on.

"And yourself? Have you found yourself a fine fellow to beat off with a stick? you can borrow my cane"

"Poppy, you never met Oswald."

"Oswald? He kin to the East Felencia Oswalds?" SHe says

"Well, not the Wichita Falls Oswalds. Those ones are Bo Dukes."

"Who isn't a Bo Duke these days?" She says "Oh wait, that fellow what's into the Warstars stuff? Who smells of Tawnytawn and uses the force of the power? "

"Yes, Poppy. He may have come over for Thanksgiving, oh, I can't recall..."

A nod "I remember that scawlywag, why he had the audacity to help take care of me, and treat you proper. What sort of message does taht send?" She wags a finger with one hand and gives an okay sign with the other

"I know, a scandal!"

"And this job, he just does the thane thing over and over again, sounds too reliable. You stick with him and you mark me, you'll end up having to surprise him, and make him smile, and finding ways to bring his hair down, and what woman wants those tasks?"

"It is a terrible burden, oui."

"Friends always are burdens" A sage nod, and her tail wags ..oh, her tail is back
