Siv twitches. Something feels off..wrong.

"Oswald, are there any letter for me? That you know of?" She says

"No, Captain. "

"Something feels wrong." She paces

"with..letters?" Oswald says

She bites her lip, "Tell the Baroness if she's looking for me she has my number. I want to check on something and indecision won't do me a lick of good."

And she goes to get her gear. Her chain shirt, her rapier... she's following her heart and if she's made a fool for it, so be it.

"This is just silly" Emma's old relation says as she's lead to the grand room

Rollo shrugs "Yeah, well, Healer wants you staying here where we can heal you fast..and you can be close and we can fighto ff the monsters"

She pats the old woman's hand - traces of ghostly ears framing her face in this place, even if the soul slumbers too deeply. "You'll see, Poppy..."

"Gatorfeathers" She huffs, "Why Marco here has better things to do than protect this old bag of bones" But she smiles as her hand is touched

"Rollo, it's..ah forget it," Rollo says "Look, ma'am, I got a job. You want it to go easier for me ? Let em spoil you."

"Wait until you hear Steven and Taylor! They're world-famous!"

"Well, that's just about the most famous you can get before it becomes overkill then" The old woman nods

"The taller one knows allll the old songs..." leading her to the reserved bedroom.

"I like old songs, probably because they're new to me.. or I'm new to them I forget which" She fusses over the bedroom a bit more "This is too much. I shall grow soft "

"Like a down pillow!"

"Well..." She pats the bed, which is just the right height for her

with a slight incline no less

Emma helps her auntie with her shoes, after getting her settled on the bed. For all the nonsense that may come out of her mouth, her hands are gentle and competent.

"And look! Witchcraft!" She holds up Poppy's yarn bag, spilling over with a half-done afghan.

Her auntie smiles "Oh Emma. You're young, you should be out and a bout making the boys turn head and dipping your toes in the creek and.. oh whatever it is young folks do... Oooo yarn!"

Rollo watches this wrinkling his nose and looking a bit twitchy then finally "I can set up a spare smaller bed in here if you want to sleep with her here tonight, Emma"

Her ears perk. "Could you?" Eyes light up.

"Yeeah, sure..." He shrugs

"Be right back." 'right' back is more like 15 minutes. He had to dig it out of the supplies and maybe sign something..but he'd never admit it was anytrouble because Surly and overly macho or not... boggan.

And he brings it in

"My he's a strong tea pot isn't he?" Her aunt says gently

"Oui! Atlas!"

"merci, monsieur, tu es aussi fort qu'un tout petit bœuf..."

"toutes les vaches femelles vous feraient des laits frappés pour vos bonnes actions"

Tha much french must be a compliment, right?

"Uh.. yeah" He says

Well, she kisses him once on each cheek.

"Ses pouvoirs de taureau sont puissants" Her aunt agrees

A blush "Well, ah.. I'll be the nearest guard stationed close tonight so you let me know if you need anhything. there's a bell rope"

"I shall pester you endlessly."

"Join the club" He mutters and then says louder "Well, you're welcome and all that, ma'am. Healer." And he heads off.

Emma's aunt is holding her yarn happily

"Nonna, don't forget..." Emma guides the crochet hook into her auntie's hand, gently helping her get started.

"How could I ever forget, my dear...." And her fingers begins to work the hook and soon she's creating again "Well, except often, but I'll be all right. Yeux de petite étoile... I'll be all right."
