The L.E.D. Zepplin did not land at Earth Runes, no. It landed in another area, was broken down into parts that fit in a huge backpack, and trods were taken from there.

The sluagh Raven helped save is a spindly wheezy wilder, who goes by the name Murmur T. Prickleskin. He is, quite grateful to all, but with a special nod to Zara

Zara brought travel tea.

It is in a thermos, but some things cannot be helped.

"oh, you are a lady proper, Miss Raven," Murmur coughs grateful for even thermos tea, "it is good to be back in civilization again"

"Now... this noble? How many of his people are held by Loyal Affirmation?"

Prickleskin seems delighted, tea and talk? "Three I am certain of. A boggan food taster among them, the poor wretch. The other a troll so sycophantic I find him distasteful, and pooka who pranked him."

"Feh - such a fragile thing. Pooka must follow their nature, even if they can oft be distressingly... exuberant..."

"i certainly understand to terrorize them so they learn of boundaries, but quite so, they still need leniancy here and there, and besides, such an oath as 'loyal affirmation' denotes cowardice of extreme magnitude"

"Such weak leadership, indeed."

" I am a modernist myself, as are most you rescued, obviously- why is the dream of Kings any grander than dreams of rule by clandestine meetings between gents and ladies of no title but high ambitions? What of parliaments? Not so much the noise of speech making, but the fine grim suits and powdered wigs in soft consultation? There is glamour in that as much as some bombast witha golden ring on his head 'decreeing' "

"America's dream is of liberty and democracy. Concordia is a sidhe propaganda piece."

"quite so, the proper place of the nobility is no more than to benefit tourism or for grand spectacle, as it is in modern mortal England." A sniff "It's what the sidhe enjoy, looking pretty and folks making a fuss over them. I'm willing to concede that much, but nay- they must like greedy children have what they want, now. no wonder they great on sluagh nerves, well we know what should be done with entitled brats, but we are forbidden to discipline." A sigh, forlorn, "Where are the dreams of individualism? of the lowly rising up by merit to have a voice?"

"They are still here. Nobles... well, I have some sidhe I consider friends, but I bend no knee."

"it is ironic, that those sidhe that manage humility, and egalitarianism, often are far more lordly in action and manner than their blatantly royalist brethren, is it not? i knew a sidhe lady once, a gwydion of all things, who referred to herself as a humble knight and while proud of her house, never claimed to be the greatest of anything. Still a touch of temper, but she truly saw others as fellow children of the dream- it was startling, so rare it was to me." A sip, "Your own sidhe friends are similar?"

"Some."

"Some... oh, it's like children, they do not understand what they are, or their privilege. No malice, but... naivete?"

"ah, yes, you are a forgiving soul, I would do well to emulate that," he sighs "it is hard not to be bitter at times. Yes, some of them are almost innocent in their hubris."

"I used to be less so. But... it is easier t forgive when they do not hold power over you."

"ah, did one hold power over you afore? If maybe shared?" concern

"Mm. Power takes different forms."

"But never by oath. And I have found ways to insulate myself from their magic."

"Remove that.. and what have they left but beauty? And what is their shining face to the lure of the shadow and the dust?"

"ah, you are a woman of keen resolve and no small talent then," approvingly, "aye. you are quite correct...the autumn of life, is it not as glorious in its dimming as spring in its rising? "

"More, methinks."

"we are of an accord" he agrees , "pray tell, miss Raven, are you solitary?" an interest

"I... am paired. An artist." She smiles, fondly.

"ah," a sip of tea, "I should apologize for my blunt interest. one of my best friends is a satyr, and he is a terrible influence, " a shake of his head, "At this point he would advise to inquire if you had any sisters." fondly, not fond for her sake, but for this friend

"A pooka. Mayhaps why I am so forgiving of their antics... though..." A sip. "I should invite you to a tea, a proper one." A glimmer of an idea.

"i would be honored" he says

"I have a dear friend, who also has a pooka sister.. though less fortunate than I... mine sib, she is a thing of moonlight and dust... Lady Marzanna was plagued by the bourgeois."

"the poor dear," Murmur says

"Aye. Pink and gold nightmare."

"gads, it is more dire than i imagined. depending on the hue, two more obnoxious and more brazen colors are hard to imagine, at least in conjunction"

"Precisely. She is much happier now, and scaring the neighborhood children."

"wonderful," he takes a gentlemant's quaff of tea, "a respecter of the old callings? in today's hurry hurry dreams, some never take the time"

"Aye, aye. Times have changed. Tis a pleasure to see those who know the old ways - why, let me tell you of a mother who knew to leave out spoilt milk and green bread...." So begins the tale of the 'beastie'...

oh he is delighted, and finds such a woman exceptional among mortals and most worthy of aid.

Zara fully agrees! And, well - other eyes on the 'beastie' could not hurt...

an agreement, the least a gent can do
