Sparrow's phone rings

"Hello?" She crooks up her shoulder to hold the phone ot her ear as she works.

"Hey, It's me, Colton? I didn't know if you got my texts?"

"I've gotten the reports, Regent."

"And we'll need to talk when you're able. Any idea how long until there's reinforcements? Do you need me there?"

"Actually, I'd love you here. Ther'es a lot of folks complaining and I can deal with that, no one will be totally happy, but others have reeal problems. The DeBukes have sent some folks, and you know how they are about nobles.... but the nobles have sent 'support' and I worry I'm going to have to separate them. Symon keeps making me THINK..." A sigh "And my girlfriend drops by , but then she got on a diplomatic mission of sorts to help me out"

"But there's new glamour flowing, and folks fighting over dreamers, and I had to step on that hard"

"Right, okay then. I'll be there. It's drivable from Rivervale, right?"

"It's pretty upstate New York... but there's some trods... I don't think you can use the DeBuke one." He does give what he knows

"Oh, Siv could also give you a lift.. she's got this ship"

"I can drive, Colton. It'll probably take me a day, okay?"

"Sure, and... I'm sorry. I want to be a good regent, and I know i'm letting you down because I've seen you do it so well soe many times and I clearly wasn't paying enough attention... but this is so important that i really need some advice on some things"

"Colton, you're doing fine. I know you are."

a reassured breath "That's what Sylvi says. " A pause "Have you ever wanted to throttle a sluagh even though they gave good advice or had a few points?"

"Often."

"Whew.. worried it was just me. Thanks, my liege. I'll see you when you get here. I really appreciate it. "

"You can always call on me, Colton."

"I know, but, I.. I sometimes feel like I'm pinning you down, holding you back"

"Not at all. Colton, I'm so proud of the man you've become. You've proven your honor ten times over."

A swallow "I.. uhm.. "A cough "Thanks."

then "I had a good teacher.. though I never learned to grow wings"

"They're mostly a pain in the ass, trust me."

"Well everyone thinks they look great on you. " A audible smile "Talk to you when you get here."

"See you soon!"

And the call ends. the young man much reassured

The sidhe, meanwhile, goes to pack a bag and inform the hold that she will be away.

Delores nods "I'll rearange the schedules. Do you need any supplies? Dross, or escort? Sir Bachdion to flash you anywhere?"

"....Does Bachdion know upstate New York well? I need to get to Rome."

"Actually, I think he can get you within a hundred miles. I'll call him in" SHe bows "is everything okay, Regent?"

"Well, Colton is doing an admirable job protecting a fledgling hold.... but..."

"Oh my, but he could use an expert's advice. On it" She says "I'll have Sir Bachdion get the two of you as close as possible then rent a car fromwherever.. we have supplies, do you think they'll need food and such? New hold and all?"

A flurry of efficency, even as the Steward talks she sends another servant to get Sir Bachdion. The Satyr knight shows up promptly, and..VERY clean, he must have showered recently

"I'm not sure what all they have or what they'd need..."

Delores beams "That means we get to guess!"

"...I think there are limits on how much Bachdion can flicker-flash, Delores..."

"oh nonsense. "What happens is ,Delores goes full boggan. If it were up to her, there'd be a ton of food, clothes ,and dross... Sir Bachdion explains he can not carry a ton...so , each is loaded down with a backpack of food supplies and yes extra dross

Sparrow might have a resigned expression to all of this.

Bachdion looks sympathetic, "Steward, we are as packed as we can be... we're nobles, not draft horses. THANK you, the Regent and I have it from here."

"Just trying to help" Delores says primly but bows and withdraws

Bachdion looks at the Sidhe lady, "She means well"

"Don't I know it."

"I can get us close.. I once had an interesting quest where..well I'll tell you on the car part of the trip. Ready?"

"Ready!"

Bachdion does a circular dance around her, like a bee approaching a flower

then both (And their backpacks) vanishe

Gone to ..well, ANYWHERE
