"Allow me to clarify, Legion Commander. I did not think you would vote for our cause. But I wanted others to see what we will not stoop to. Thank you for coming."

A different chuckle, this from the book end balor on the right side.

August nods, and with his court-mask, excuses himself to a side chamber.

"Wait.." A hand grabs his...wrist "In the name of..peace. We do have.. interests. And will vote for your banner house, in exchange for..concessions"

August looks at his wrist, and at the hand, and at the.... owner.

Kravas grins, "Now... what I can do for you is yes, get you our vote. But in exchange. We want two things. One... the Rovers ..or Knights of the way, be discouraged from patrolling the paths in this barony. Tell them it is already covered. We will see to it that it is so if need be."

"Take your hand off me."

"Two... you get House Liam to approve OUR Banner House when we call for it"

He does let go, "So shy, yes that was unfortunate of me"

"Thank you." August straightens his sleeves.... and perhaps wipes off his wrists. "I appreciate your offers, Legion Commander. And decline them. And so, take my leave of you." Another polite nod, and attempt at exit.

"As you like... but I can't vouch for old grudges cleared against a pale friend of yours" He smooths his coat. "Have a nice day, Sir August"

"And you, Legion Commander....." As he exits for a bit.

The balor leave early. Though that guard on the right seemed.. impressed, even as his superior seemed irritated if giggling.

There is a pause before August reappears... but he does. And decently garbed, still!

He takes a breath and continues to circulate.

And he bumps right into a representative of House Beaumayn. The lovely lady has very sad eyes, but that's typical for the house.

"Oh, do pardon me, madam. My apologies." A shy, charming smile.

She turns and despite her elegant gown, he can notice the muscles of her arm and the calluses of her hands indicate she is a warrioress, a squire nearby works on some armor in fact "It's quite all right. Marquisa Rosebitter at your service. Are you Sir August ?" curious

He bows respectfully. "I am."

"Thank you for coming."

"Sir August, I must warn you... I had visions that I believe indicate you must be wary of House Balor and..." She pauses and looks at him, then looks about "Who appear to have.. left?"

"What a shame." Blandly. "Thank you for your warning, Marquisa."

She laughs "Oh I am sorry. I'm afraid this is why some call me Marquisa De Hindsight behind my back."

Then a pause and less humor "you didn't agree to anything did you?"

August blinks, seems to remember something.

He holds her eye contact. "No. I did not."

"Good." She says "That would have been..unfortunate. It may still come to pass, but at least it won't be .. your hands won't be on it"

"No." He lingers a moment. "Will you compete today?"

"Of course, it would be rude not to I think. I hope to show off my flail work. I understand this hold has fine challenges in melee and joust alike"

He nods. "Hope to compete myself, although I do not fancy myself a warrior."

"I..." A blush "mm"

"I think you will enjoy this eve, lord"

"Are you well?" Concern.

"merely a brief vision. My visions usually come too late, or are frivilous."

He nods. "I cannot say I understand, but .... if you are in any need, please only say so."

"I shall.. please, see to others. I know you have many to sway"

August offers another bow, and circulates.
