Avis beams as her Togail goes under way. From Childling to Wilder.

Sparrow being there really meant a lot to the girl. Both have wings after all

And Sparrow doesn't miss - she has a brightly-wrapped present under her arm.

Ah, and when it is over she may also be asked for a boon.

And there is a fair amount she can offer, as Regent. Limited, but still.

It's treated like a birthday mostly, lots of cake and celebreations, but some of the old touches are there too. She gives up her nightlight with solemn sacrifice.

If there are a fair amount of childlings and younger wilders, Sparrow will have brought her face paints, too.

The childlings loved it... (The younger wilders did too but some felt obligated to feel they were ONLY doing it ..because)

Of course.

Then Avis speaks aloud trhe last words... err Pooka style "Ooh, the wheel in the sky keeps on turning

A soft grin at that.

And glamour flows and bursts as... the girl's wings stretch out larger than before, perhaps even able to fly!

She wobbles a bit... not used to her body changes. Ah, mortal or changeling, the teen years can make one feel awkward

Sparrow mantles her wings - perhaps demonstrating proper balance?

Out of the corner of her eye, Avis shoots the older wilder a grateful look of realization, then duplicates the motion with her own wings, and steadies.

Indeed, she gives a look of poise

And people cheer as the glamour that showers about flows over all. The wilder's first contribution in her summer years to the crowds.

The official says "Does the applicant have a request of a Gails day boon?" With a glance towards Sparrow

Sparrow waits, ready.

Avis looks to Sparrow, then says "I ask of you a great boon, o dread owl... I like owls actually, even though, as you can see, I am a vegetarian- though to be fair, no vegetables have ever hurt me so I suppose that's kind of cruel? No wonder the turnips kicked me off that truck when I was younger ... but you've got to keep on trucking I hear so anyway way after the walls are done, and we've had our fun I thought i might watch you but not i nthe creepy way more like the ooo 'happy clouds' way ala ross? I saw the vandalism you did and I know you have a squire who is by the way MAJOR tall... I mean, huge.... I could use his head as an aerie but while I"m perched there maybe you could show me what's what with the cement rainbows and the plaster sunshine? on my shoulders makes me happy... "

It would appear Avis' lies take the form of getting off the subject.. but it's in there somewhere

She tilts her head, processing. "Oh.. you wish to paint, too?"

"And the other numbers as well"

"We're big on crafts at the keyclub" One says "But we don't really have a visual artist" Dalton admits

She smiles, like the break of dawn's pink rays over violet clouds. "Well, that is in my power to give. I can show you what I know."

Avis bounces up and down, "Yes! I know it's not practicval to want to spread the beauty inside me to the world to see, but what sometimes my head it goes so full.. not boom boom boom booom like a headache, or 'sckkkkerree' like a migraine, but more like " she mimes O fortunata "Ive got a vision.. a mighty vision.. and I've got to get it out! It's really building! It might just break through.. I got to paint before it goes out my eaaaaaars" a cough "I'm very sorry your amazedness I just ramble and rock and the clock and I listten to a lot of gold age radio so it all comes out radio gaga and not always the star is born kind But.. you'll teach me to empty my head?"

"Well, I can try. We just need to get your head and your hands talking to each other. Hands can be a little stubborn, sometimes."

"I know" She nods sagely, "We must teach them who is boss by ordering them to bring cake to our mouths" A hopeful look to the huge cake waiting for her.

"Well... one way to test that theory."

Cheers break out, and the first slice goes to Avis, the second... to the noble that took time to grant a petition.

She is gracious about it!

The party breaks into more relaxed pace.. and Avis will meet the Regent later for lessons in the week.

Sparrow turns to see her Squire returned!

"Colton! How was your adventure?"

"PRetty intense" He says "But we did it.. there was one lodge that..well, I have to tell you about that. I can't seem to stop running into Leanhaun and..oh. I'm interrupting a party. Sorry."

"Full report at home - cake now! That's an order!"

He smiles, and raises a glass hand to salute, "Yes, my liege" And he ques for cake.
