"Talk to her, I beg you" Jennette says to Claire.

"How many passes?" Claire looks at their jousting Beaumayn.

"Seven... few breaks. Only her concern for the horses had her stop." Lady JEnnette says "NOW she wants melee. You're up. "

"Lovely..." The Ailil sighs. Being a Seelie Ailil stinks sometimes. Folks expect you to 'do the right thing' but also hope your natural manipualtion skills can 'handle' things. Such as love sick lieges missihng their truehearts

She goes out to the sparring ground to see Coradel. Sidhe don't sweat, they glow... but the Baroness is in danger of glowing very strongly

"My liege? You do know wearing yourself out with combat practice isn't going to make him return any faster right?"

"No...maybe not..." She does pause to catch her breath while speaking. "Don't care. Ready to fight?"

She draws her blade, "I live to serve, but I do expect to trounce you as you've been wearing yourself out for the last hour jousting. At your whim, my liege"

That gets a toothy, eager smile from the redhead. "Oh, you think so?" And with no further warning, she exercises said whim and launches a flurry of strikes at Claire.

Despite the Ailil's confidence, the Fiona has had nearly a full ten minutes putting the horse away and so on to recover so... the barrage of steel actually drives the dragoness back and the lioness takes pride in that she gets the first strike in albeit a glancing one.

"Are you really sure this is a healthy way to cope?" The AIlil says "Have you perhaps considered excess amounts of ..." Parry "Chocolate?"

"Ha! Is that Surrender I hear?" CLANG! "Chocolate-coated surrender?"

"Please" She counters with a shove going on on the offensive, "I but plot to have you agree to winner buys the dark stuff for the loser so I might dine on your sweet defeat." Claire is a warrioress, no less than her liege ,and she is 'fresh'. But then, a certain Fiona has been withOUT for awhile "What's this I hear that you are not taking Bachdion to... private counsel since August has been away?"

That makes her miss a beat, and Claire nearly gets a good strike in before she parries and gains distance, circling. "I've been...distracted. Busy." Then another charge and flurry of strikes.

The Ailil is pushed back physically, but not in debate, "Why don't you just admit despite the fact he gave you permission to ...enjoy yourself, a part of you is being silly and romantic about this while he's gone? No Bachdion because well... no August is around. I know your House pretty well by now... libertine behavior... but then once that's sated you switch to pining flowers missing the sun even when the moon is right there " Talking too much, the Ailil gets clipped again, but doesn't shut up

"Are you here to philosophize or fight?" Coradel frowns as she advances again. Yes, she does seem to be trying to push beyond reasonable physical limits, and has she paused for water lately?

"I'm here to talk or knock some sense into you," Swooping slash "You're tired, dehydrated, Frustrated.... and at risk of hurting yourself while trying to make time fly. My liege"

Parry. "I'm FINE," she says with her next thrust. "I'm perfectly FINE."

"It's a good thing I'm not Gwydion, you'd just about kill me with those..." Twist and counter thrust

"The lies I mean"

That combination makes Coradel stumble past Claire rather than land a blow on her, and her imbalance sends her to one knee. From there she twists to bring up her blade to block. "I'm not lying!"

And the AIlil 's blade is blocked, but the block is used against her like a pin, "Are you sure? Because I'm thinking you're losing....and even you look a bit of a mess. THe former? Not that unlikely- I'm good. The latter? Unheard of. Take a damn break or I will kick your ass, baroness"

Coradel's teeth are clenched behind a stubborn frown as she strains to press her blade back against Claire's. "You...couldn't..." Another shove to try to push the Ailil off and get back on her feet.

But the Ailil holds.. pressing the pin, "I can. I am. I worry. Take.A.Break."

Another attempt...and momentary anger....but then a shift in her expression, and after a moment she relaxes slightly. "I'm ready for chocolate, anyway." Not defeated. Nope.

"YOu sound like an Ailil some days" She backs off, then offers a hand "Hell, I'll even 'buy'"

A sigh as she accepts the hand up. "Yes, you will." She shakes out her hair to re-glorious it.

Sidhe. All it takes is one shake and yes, glory flame restored. "Ice cream version I think. Here, or Greasers?"

Coradel sighs and thinks. "I should probably stop in and check on them, yes. Greasers. Let me get a quick shower before we go."

"Okay, and if you fall on your face after cleaning and nap, that's okay too, but I'l lwait for you regardless" Claire says

"I'm fine. I'll meet you out front in ten." A bit of a huff as she goes off to her suite.

The Ailil watches her go then mutters "'I'm Fine' my ass. Somedays I'm a wash in Leonine nonsense. Good thing I'm so strong willed or I'd end up talking to myself about it"

True to her word, Coradel meets Claire in front of the manor in...well, close to ten minutes, wearing a stylish summer outfit, deceptively casual and terribly flattering to both her shape and coloration. "Ready?"

"Ready" Claire had time to spritz off and change as well. Her own outfit is a bit more casual but still nice. The two make their way to greasers, the Ailil driving. As they pull up, Vern the Satyr comes out "Hey, two of my favorite ladies. What can we do for you?"

"Chocolate shakes..." The Ailil says then looks to her liege "You want that a swirl with something?" Clearly CHocolate must be at least PART of it

"The swirl is a must," she beams at the satyr...though Claire might sense it's more for show than genuine enthusiasm.

"No problem ... I know what you like" A grin. .and he puts their orders down.

The shakes here are the best thing... and a certain Fiona might find she DID need liquid, ,ANY liquid

"Mmmm...." she savors that first taste, then asks for a glass of water alongside, as well.

Oh that's free.

Claire, defying her Ailil nature, does NOT say she told her so.

As it should be. She decides to quench a bit of her thirst before returning to the shake, so as not to diminish its pure pleasure.

After another sip of shake, Coradel looks at Claire. "Okay, you can stop being smug any moment, now."

"I really can't" the Ailil says her smile only slightly smaller

She rolls her eyes and takes another sip. After a moment... "Bachdion spoke with you about it?"

"Actually, no. He's a gent and does not talk."

A blink. "Then...how did you know....?"

"Cant' we just assume I'm a highly empathic and sensitive individual?" Battering eyelashes look silly on her, but she tries

A skeptical eyebrow....

"I am not going to rat out one of your friends for being rightly concerned" a brow
