In the nook, a painting is taking shape - a golden-blue dawn, mist and water...

Gowdeen says nothing, but has taken a far seat to observe it come to be and smiling

And yes - the paint is chimerical. Gowdeen can see it form. The pigments also have an unusual shimmer, a sense of light unmatched by mundane paints.

Sparrow's wings are fluffy as she works - and she sneaks a few glances and shy smiles at her audience of one.

Soft finger waggle when she is spotted- Almost a comic non sequitor for the oh so dignified hard working Dougal to 'waggle fingers' but it is amusing.

And the artwork takes further form and depth, one can almost see movement.

There... the birds. And there, in the distance, a sinuous drake...

That gets her attention indeed as she waits to see what color the drake takes

Blue. Always blue. Remembrance, regret... but beauty, too.

An admiring meleancholy sigh. Gowdeen had no part in this dream, but can , thanks to Sparrow's talent, share in it a bit.
