A shy grin. "Yes. All the above. If you'd like, I'll introduce you to .... well, my children. Magnus, and Derynwydd. And Coradel and I are already Oathed and planning something public for the mortals in our lives. And I live here now, in Jefferson City."

"YOU have kids?"

" yes. A boy and a girl. From Arcadia."

"Ohkaaay..." Confusion "Arcadia is... the big kingdom?"

" they were born before us, here."

"Okay, now my head is spinning but for a different reason"

" are you okay? Would you like some water?" He asks with concern.

"I'm fine, just not sure of how somethings are possible beyond 'it's dreams made real'" Sheepish

" that's it, exactly. Dreams made real."

"Yeah it's just so.. my head spins around trying to build more on that. I think studying the codes and courts and history will help"

A gentle smile. "You'll do fine. You always were a fast study. And, you will have teachers and you can always reach back to me."

"I do have your email" She agrees, "maybe wherever I settle you and Coradel could visit?"

"We'd be honored." August assures her.

"Good." She says "So... gosh.. .I have a million questions and don't know where to start. How about htis one. You're looking a lot healthier, but how are you feeling?"

He shifts where he stands with a gentle smile. "Fine. Better than fine. You know the last semester... wanting to be closer to my girlfriend? It was a bit more than that."

"I get that now" She says approvingly "I hope I have that one day... " A blush "Not with you, but what you two have with a fellow of my own? It seems so.. true love conquers all. I remember that one"

August nods. "It isn't always easy and it's usually my fault.... but it's worth it."

"Usually your..." A tilt of her head "No one else is blaming you, why blame yourself?"

A sigh. "I think it's my nature."

"That's one thing you might want to ease up on"

"Oh, I'm told there's a list. Maybe even a betting pool."

She laughs

He seems momentarily startled by that, then grins boyishly.

"Okay okay, I guess you will be modest no matter what we do. But just ease up on yourself. It probably upsets your trueheart"

He thinks about that. "I will keep that in mind."

"Good. Now, uhm.. gosh..what else to talk about.. you're a 'scribe' here? That's so you. If it means what I think it does"

"I keep records, prepare correspondence for the court." He confirms.

"And you like that? is it rewarding?"

"It makes me useful." He..... agrees?

"You're plenty useful, but I Hope you enjoy it"

"It's what I was trained for." Then ruefully "Perhaps I should put some focus on combat skills...."

"I think it's not a fair match when you are tied to a wall" She says

"I was tied to a wall?" He blinks.

"A prisoner...but you..commanded them to let me free I think... your voice could not be denied. I know it sounds crazy to say that but it's true"

A sigh. "Yes. I need to work on that, too. It's not crazy, it's a Art. Magic." He explains. "I'm not very good at it."

"Well, you can't be fantastic at everything" She says

"I can try." Completely seriously.

"Oh August. " A sigh "You have kids from Arcadia.. do you have a brother from Arcadia?"

"Not as far as I know." Still serious.

"Well, a magical land can only be SO wonderful" She says resigned

He seems puzzled but does not press.

She laughs then seems to notice the time "Oh I'm sorry, August. I have a meeting with the hold dressmaker, she's going to help me with a few outfits"

"Oh, wait, you mean a brother like '... more like you at home'?" He blushes. "Ah. Thank you." A beat. "Dressmaker?"

"Yes, Dressmaker Vashti"

A smile "And yes, more like you." She rises

"Vashti?!?" Surprised. "Wow. Well. I guess that makes.... sense."

He offer his hand automatically as she rises.

She takes it, the gloves she wears tingle with glamour

"Wow." Impressed.

"Yeah, they're kind of my core" She smiles "Anyway, I don't dare leave without them. See you around , August. I'm happy you're happy."
