OOC: Sorry about that 😉 BIC: With August's hair looking perfect (not hard to do) , Earl says "you look good, August. At least compared to earlier. I dont' know how much you remember but I thought you should met someone"

"Ok?" Confused.

Coradel gives Earl a puzzled look. "Innish said something about a selkie?"

"yeah" He opens the door wider "Come on in"

The selkie is blonde, her hair, in fae form, seems perpetually slicked as if she just came out of the water, her eyes are blue, but also large and so very soft... fingers are webbed under sealkskin g loves that look almmost part of her.. the rest of her voile is pretty much mortal clothing if brighter hues than the outfit.

It may take August a moment to recognize her

Curious, a courteous nod as she waits for Earl to make introductions.

"Karen the Selkie, you know August, but not as Sir August Truthbranch ap Liam, this is his trueheart and ruler of the hold, Baroness Coradel Truthbranch ap Fiona. Baroness and Sir, this is Karen... now a Selkie." Earl introduces all

Karen gapes, and says "I thought you were handsome before..." she covers her mouth lightly, "Forgive me" A nod to Coradel "I understand you.. you rescued him, thank you Baroness."

Puzzled still. "I...yes. You know Sir Truthbranch, Karen?"

"We're were in study groups together this year" Karen says "Apparently it was enough to have me enchanted as a mortal and...taken into the Dreaming. Some of it is fuzzy, but Sir August helped save me... he..commanded, and Klay and Athaniel had to let me go.... I wandered the Dreaming but.. Sir Earl sent me to a safer part... then Rover Olgar and Dagmar saved me entirely..." A blush "I was a bit of a banality laden hot potato I'm told"

"That's fuzzy?" Earl mutters at the pretty dead on summary.

Coradel blinks. "You're that Karen?" She looks at the webbing. "But...August never said you were kinain."

"Kinain? " She says then recalling "Oh yes, fae blooded. I don't know that I was... but my time in the Dreaming and magic helped change me... the gloves stabilized me. I," A breath "What was the word? I was Dreamstruck? Actually worse case they'd seen. SO.. it was Selkie or the looney bin."

"Oh, my..." Coradel looks amazed. "Karen...that's quite a change. Are you managing well?"

"Well, I need to move to a coast" She says sheepishly "but yes, with some help I am. Made a friend."

"more than one, actually" She says

"A coast? Oh, perhaps August's friend, Count Jude, could help you there. August? What do you...." But it seems that, despite all of his readiness for company, August has fallen asleep again.

"He's so ..beautiful" the Selkie ssays Staring at the sleeping man then blushes "you both are. That's.. your power? "

An indulgent smile. "It's our nature, yes. But our powers are greater than that alone. But for now...he needs more rest. Karen, Earl, please be our guests here, and we might speak further later."

Earl nods and leads Karen off 'This way"

And Coradel can attend to her sleeping beauty relieved he is on the mend

Sometimes, Sylvi almost forgets that she can visit Colton. When he said he wasn't sure he should head to Rivervale "TXT: Because of all stuff going on with Sir August" It might have caught her attention. There is nothing keeping her from coming over, and more than that and as a diplomat emissary type, why it's almost expected to show an interest.

So, school over, bulk of school work done, and no practice tonight, she steps out of the trods to find herself in the garden at Earth Runes.

She's familiar with bigger holds like this, has been to a few of them, but...well, she always feels the need to tug her clothing straighter, check for wrinkles....

"You look fine, ma'am" The troll on duty, older than her, says

Thane Oswald, she's seen him before.

A sheepish grin and a nod. "Thanks. I mean, thank you, Thane Oswald. Is Squire Colton in the manor?"

"Yes, but you should hurry, he's about to patrol Jefferson City. I don't think he knew you were coming." Oswald says "Hope everything is going well at Rivervale. Big fan of Chieftain Brekke up there. She's one of my top Picks in my Fantasy Warband drafts"

"Fantasy....? Wow...okay, I've gotta find out more about that. And yeah, things are good at Rivervale right now. Okay, let me hurry and find him. Thanks!" A quick wave, and she's off at a brisk stride for the manor entrance.

She finds Colton dressing up very somber and serious, but when he turns and sees her, his smile springs to life and he says "Hey!"

"Hey, yourself." She smiles, partially in relief that her arrival brings a happy expression to his face. She goes to him. "Hope you don't mind me surprising you like this."

"No, no I don't mind but oh.. I'm about to go on a patrol.. .helping out... it's not anything life or death but I don't think I can cancel" He takes her hands in his really apolegetic, and clearly NOT Wanting to leave her.

"Well...is it something I can join you on? Would that be okay?" She squeezes his hands.

"Yeah, sure, if you're okay with... " A grin "Why not, if you're hungry we can stop at this place I know, Changeling run, 50s feel. Counts as patroling" He assures

"If that's okay with your patrol. I don't want to get you in trouble if anybody thinks you're shirking for a date."

"This is a Fiona hold, " he says "You wouldn't believe how many 'daring missions' start with make out sessions in the garden"

She blinks and smiles. "Oh, really? Should I be concerned about that?"

"Not Me" he assures her as they start to head out "Do you have your knife or a weapon?"

She pats her blade at her hip. "How bad are patrols here, usually? I'm used to patrols in suburbia or the great white north."

"Depends on what part of Jefferson City we patrol usually, and when... there are mortal criminals like any where else I guess. But we have had Thallian once in awhile. Ravagers? Sparrow comes down on them like a hammer"

That makes Sylvi smile. "How is Lady Sparrow?"

"She's probably feeling a bit rooted. With tthe Baroness Coradel tending over Sir August like he is, folks are turning to her... all the paperwork none of the glory, not that the Baroness Coradel slacks mind you.. folks a re worried she's not sleeping enough."

"But my liege is regent, and dedicated, so she and the steward are dealing with the day to day" He says "Man, I don't think I ever want to be a baron. "

"Wait...Colton? What's wrong with Sir August?"
