She nods. "Everything is expensive, yes. Is she kinain? Perhaps we can direct magical care that way. We have a healer, and I know a redcap doctor."

She nods. "I doubt they would give you much information. But.... do you really want to join the Shadow Court, or do you want some security and the ability to protect your family?"

The troll sneers at him but the sluagh shrugs "the latter"

She nods. "Well then. If you have a chance for that, and would be willing to work for it... perhaps there's a way I can help you. And your mother, too."

"yeah sure I mean.. I made a bargain with them so I... i'm in the market right?"

"I'm afraid your companion might be too enthusiastic about joining a gang of moustache-twirling villains to be reasoned with. But you - yes, exactly. I think we can offer a better deal."

Rollo looks at the regent "Boss, you sure you can trust this skinny weasel?"

"I think... sluagh are meticulous in business, as a rule. And I can only promise what my own authority allows - and that is looking for justice, not vengeance."

Rollo inclines his head , "Your call. But if he tries anything and i'm around? Well, might be harder for him to squirm if he's equally bruised all over" A warning look to the sluagh "You drugged my kith sister, asshole. I don't even know your name and I'm gonna remember you for that one"

She nods. "I do not offer a free ride, or to dismiss what you did because you have a sob story."

"I .. get it. It's my mom, if yo ucan help her I'll stay whatever dungeon you pick for as long as you pick I won't even try to escape. I'd swear to it" The slaugh sounds desperate, but not for his own sake

She nods. "I will speak to the Baroness of your treatment, but I will do what I can for your mother. If you wish to write it down so the other cannot be a tell-tale of your information, that might be wise."

"yeah.. uhm" the sluagh looks at the troll "i'd appreciate that. I'm slug , by the way. it's what they call me"

"I am called Sparrow. I'm the regent here."

"yeah..she told us about you i m ean, what you looked like" a pause "didn't know you had a dog"

"That's Ladybird. She's a fae hound. She is usually with me, and I am not always here."

"What else did she tell you of us?" Sparrow is warm, friendly - easy to talk to, keeping her own tone soft as she converses with the sluagh.

"Not much, mostly looks..the baroness, you, the scribe, a few of the knights, the steward of course... i tried to check in with a kith brother to learn more but he wasn't very forth coming and I didn't want to risk his loyalties"

She nods. "Our librarian is a sluagh, and I know your kith... follows a particular decorum, yes? We do not have many sluagh here. They were more common at Firnost."

"Gluminkski..he didn't give much and you don't press elders"

She smiles. "Oh, I understand that - absolutely."

"Yeah, big thing with sluagh" slug says

"Well, I am certainly not asking you to betray your kith here."

A headbob "thanks I.." Paper and pen are handed to him, and he starts to write.

Her wings shift and settle, the feathers whispering softly against each other... but she's otherwise silent as she waits, not pressing for more conversation just now.

He hands rollo the paper when it's done, rollo hands it to her. The notes are more useful than slug mentioned. WHERE they met, where they were supposed to bring Delores,how they were supposed to signal

She nods. "Thank you for the information on your mother. I am going to leave you for now."

Rollo eyes him "I won't."

"No. Thank you, Rollo."

She rises, and heads for the main hold to search for Cora.

Coradel has just finished grooming Samson, and she gives the horse a playful kiss on his velvety nose. "Good ride. Enjoy the rest of your day." She strolls through the rest of the stable, pausing at the Tauntaun stall to see what kind of mood the strange beast is in.

The tauntaun is well treated. It was running towards paunchy for a bit. Oswald spoiled it. FOrtunately Sergei put an end to THAT and it's i nrunning trim.

SPeaking of Oswald , he approaches and bows

"Baroness Coradel?" He says

"Oh, hello Oswald. How is everything?" Her tone is light and airy and relaxed, as she so often is after a good ride.

"Well," Ahem "Everything is fine NOW...but the regent is looking for you since the incident"

Oswald knows that the sidhe can be...high spirited. Yeah, that's the phrase

"Incident? There was an incident?" Her smile vanishes as she blinks at the thane. "What kind of incident?"

"Two trespassers drugged the Steward, trying to kidnap her.. " Maybe if he can get enough of it out before she gets upset she won't get upset? "But then the Regent came to the rescue"

The silence...the absolute, dreadful silence...as she just stares at him....

A moment later, the words "They did WHAT?!!!" ripple throughout the manor like a shockwave.

The quick beat of hard-heeled riding boots on flagstone, and then wooden floors, as Coradel strides through the halls towards the dungeon.

Despite being a blue giant, the troll winces "tried..well they didn't try they drugged... "He finds himself talking to a horse

"I always black out a lilttle when they do that" He admits to the animal
