Footsteps, troll footsteps, that's hardly rare here. Thanes, a watcher for the childlings, and more.

What's rare is this troll isn't a local. Siv Waveborne comes from the Firnost trod and peeks around.

"Welcome to Earth Runes," Oswald says. "Your business?"

"Ah, well then," siv says "Would you know where I might the library? And one Miss Zara?"

"Miss Zara?" Oswald says "Well ah, she is a private lady, and not really beholding to the hold so I couldn't say for sure where she is or what she's doing... I mean, we try to be nice to her as a friend of Earth Runes and.." Oswald rambles a bit

Siv blinks, "pardon, I'm just asking where I might find her? I don't mean to ...are you scared of bothering miss zara?"

"Me? Please, I am nearly twice her size and 4 times her weight. I'm trained warrior"the Thane says.

"but you'd like me not to mention that you're the one who told me where she is if she asks?" Siv says

"Oh sweet Danu, yes. She's scary when she's in a mood." Oswald says

Siv looks amused, "I won't name names. She seemed very nice to me. " A pause "IS she in a mood?"

Oswald leans forward, "the Childlings say she's going to use their flesh to replace pages smeared by chocolate."

"I...that's creative" the girl says "Are any of the childlings pooka?"

"well...yeessss.." oswald says now feeling a bit foolish "Library is..." he gives directions "she might be there."

"Thank ye," she says.

"Oh, your name please?" He says

"Siv Waveborne," she says. "No title. And thank you again." She heads to the library.

At the library door, she gives a very soft knock "zara?" A pause "Or MIss Zara as you're all offiial here too? Or.. is it librarian zara?"

A bright golden voice greets the troll. "Something Zachariah told me filled my mind and excited my heart: "A Sailor," he said, "chooses the wind that takes the ship from safe port......but winds have a mind of their home." Bronte swoops down, buzzing Siv's horns.

"Brinte, what are you.... ah." The sluagh emerges. "Miss Siv? Hello! Greetings!"

then at Zara, "Pardon me, Miss. Bad time?"

"Not at all. Come, come - I wasn't expecting you. What brings you to Earth Runes?"

"well, wish I could say it was me being all mannerly and nice as is proper to say hello to folks what done you a kindness, but in truth I was hoping you might point me to the right places for a bit of lore and answers and the like. Just to show you how odd... can I ask you if you have any texts on December 17th?"

"The seventeenth? Let me check..." she fetches her phone.

"Nothing special... did you send one?" She tilts her head.

"I would have thought I would, but so far? No one did ... in all of Bergen County. Not on December the 17tth. I THINK it went no further, but wanted to confirm." Siv says "Do you have any books on the nature of timee and how someone might steal a date?"

"A... missing day? Across an entire county? Oh, now, Miss Siv, you must tell me everything.... Bronte, be a love and ask Delores for tea? She might have a treat for you, too..."

"Tempus Fugit " Bronte races off

"Aye, darling..." A fond look.

"Well." Siv says "isn't she a dear?" Then "I'm not sure my mother would like me telling folks to be honest but she didn't say I couldn't so.. I suppose I'll use my own judgement. Honestly , the only reason I noticed it was it happened to be my birthday"

"Well, my chosen birthday."" She says "I'm complicated."

"Aye, Dreaming-born. Most curious..."

"Well, whatever this is about , it's not about me. I'm not that important."

The pale wilder ghosts around the shelves, compiling a stack in her slender arms - mostly chimerical books, ones the shimmer with fantastical hide bindings and gilded pages.

"Tis hard to determine how important or not you are. Bronte is right, you choose your winds to sail..."

"I'll settle for seeing the seas of the world and helping my family," She pulls out her phone, "See, this is my own phone history. texts on the 16h, 18th..."

"You may do well to speak to Sir Almandine, also - I have not studies Chronos, but he is well-versed."

"But no texts to family or my boyfriend or the boys I flirt with" A blush "Just saying" Then "Oh? Sir Almandine? if I may ask, what House?"

"Eiluned." She looks over Siv's phone if it's offered.

She makes a face, "I'll think about talking to him" She doesn't hand the phone over per say but definitely shows it "And thanks, the books. I guess I need to study here. "

"They can be a contrary house, aye. So fond of secrets, and dreadfully curious..."

"I prefer to avoid them" She admits.

"Now, the most likely seems to be some kind of widespread chicanery - but that is a massive working to hit such an area!"

"And I do not think... I do not think that art would effect texts..."

"that's wht I thought" She agrees, "Unless it's an ongoing veil, but then wouldnot the texts return to my notice when I left Bergen?"

"I would think... but not a veil, more a fugue..."

"Checked the local library. I couldn't find any of that date. AND... "she says "My mortal friends don't have anything on that date either in their texts, which I didn't dare mention to them or right of ignorance? Kablewie"
