Vince slumbers fitfully in the infirmary... Coradel having been denied entrance, leaving poor Emmaline to nurse the sickly

August enters, wearing a mask and gloves, holding a long box. He approaches the slumbering lion.

Heather balm has helped ease the symptoms, but still sweat beads his brow.

"Vince?" Softly. "I'm sorry you're not well. Get better soon, you hear me?"

A twitch, and he mutters. “Mrrr. Chocolate. And the rum.,.. poisoned. Beware...” an omen, perhaps?

"I will." He assures softly. "I, ah, brought you a present. I'll leave it here."

A mumble, only half lucid. “...okay honey.., mmm... 5 more minutes...”

August sets the shirt-sized box on the side table. "Vince. Get better. Ok?"

His hand swings out to grab August’s. “Wait... don’t leave me... all... going... dark...”

August grips his hands back. "I'm here, Vince."

“So cold... must.., cuddle for warmth...” a crack of an eye.

A deep breath. "If you need."

A soft chuckle, and he squeezes the hand... then his hand falls away as he drifts into sleep once more.

August waits to be sure Vince doesn't need... ok, he doesn't. He leaves the package and moves along.
