The trees around Earth runes have begun to splatte with color here and there, as befits a Fiona hold, mostly red. While mortal trees maybe browning some, in the Near Dreaming, already glorious bursts of crimson are taking the leaves.

Nevers flicker about, dodging the falling leaves that break free even now, though not in great numbers.

Emmaline whistles as she fashions the scarlet and ochre leaves into tiny dresses for the nevers.

Nevers are silly creatures, sometimes pestering her to hurry up so they can try one, other times flying back as if wanting to avoid it. Musical bell like giggles and tinkle sounds of their chatter make no sense to non nevers, but clearly they are abuzz, or perhaps a chime?

She holds out a confection of maple and oak leaves. "Ta-da!"

"oooo" one coos

"The latest from Paris!"

Well, this must be tried.

Emma claps, delighted, as the Never accepts the tiny foliage dress. "You look just like Cher!"

There's a soft laugh, brief, and definitely not from a Never. Oswald

Her ears perk up and she looks for the source. The thane gets a gap-toothed grin. "Bonjour-monsieur!"

"Madame, thank you for the healing on Pennons' He bows , and seems in quite a good mood.

"Pish, tosh, nosh. Did you have your date?" She pats the space on the rock beside her. "You were expensive! i would have needed oh so many bits!"

"Well, she and I had a nice date, but it was just once" he says "Im still on the market' A light blush "So to speak. though I suspect next girl I go out with I'll be buying dinner"

"Well, was it fun?" She reaches up and tucks a leaf in his horns.

He bends down if need be , "Well, the auction itself was nerve wracking, but I enjoyed the rest . Willow is nice."

She nods. "Trollo-a-trolla. Did you whisk her away? I think she might be a newborn babe, born yesterday."

"Well, she's unsained so I was a gentleman," A pause "I hope I wasn't too dull. I don't always know what women want, you know?"

"Oh, women are mysterious creatures." Somber and earnest. "You should get one to hash out things with! Pocket-sized, for easy reference." Now a grin.

He smiles, he can't help it, "Okay so...when a girl says she had a very nice time, and talks about her sister with you? And stuff? is that.. llike Friendzone or trust?"

"Hmm." She taps her chin, thinking. "Do you think there's a thing such as the girlfriendzone?"

"Oh yeah, girls can be friendzoned too' He nods "Anyone can feel strongly for someone and feel that it's not returned in that way. Best I can do if I am being friendzoned is..well, bee grateful if she sees me as a friend, I know that. "

A sigh, and she reaches out to tap his forehead. "Non. Not friendzoned. Girlfriendzoned. Seeing only the cherry, and missing the whole banana split."

"My oldest friend, do you wish to know Willow, or do you wish to have a Willow-doll to hang from your elbow? I could fashion you one of tissue paper and macrame and bleu tempera paint...."

"I am the confused" He confesses, then "Actually, I like her, but there are two girls I kind of like here, you know, in that 'maybe way'..."

"Oh? Oui?" A grin, tattered ears lifted.

"I . .. uhm..."A ablush "Thought about asking you out."

"Even without two bits?" She gently nudges his side, but smiles.

he chuckles, "yes. Even wtihout two bits. I thought maybe we could, you know, go out sometime, maybe for a date to the zoo?'

"The monkeys stand for honesty. Giraffes are insincere. The elephants are kindly but they're dumb. Mm-hmm-mm."

"I kind of like the elephants. Some of them paint"

Eyes wide. "Non!"

"It's true, some zooes give elephants a paint brush and canvas and let them go to town."

She giggles. "Pachyderm paintings."

"Maybe we could see if the local zoo has one ,ad if not, we go to one that does?"

"Sounds like a bon adventure!"

"Then I will try to find a good time, and it's a date." A nod "or at least an adventure, very ..uhm Tres Bon"

"Tres bon bon bon. Say, do you want to help me test leaf piles? If they're troll-sized, they might handle a childling boggan!"

"Sure..." And he begins to scoop and pile leaves..strictly for testing.

And Emma dances about, set on burying him to his knees.

"the kids are going to love this, " He agrees

"Oui. The kids." A knowing grin.

A chuckle blush and more leaves pile
