There is a shuffling behind leaves, and something peeks out...

What she sees

"Bonjour!" A bright grin and a wave.

"heh.. heh..oo.." And realizing it has been spotted, it's fur blushes! the hairs on its ears and cheeks turn pink and it darts back behind a branch

"Ohhh..." Emma drops down to sit on the grass. "I didn't see you, don't worry."

"oo?" it sticks his head out, blush dimming "puffawuffa ookeypook sese nunu?"

Large eyes wink, never quite managing a wink as one takes a turn then the other.

"What the heck?" Oswald saw at least some of it, "That's a new one"

"Noop!"

She taps her chest. "Emmaline, sometimesyes, sometimes no, sometimes maybe."

"Emliemli!" the creature says. There is a tiny amulet or medallion about it's neck, but certainly can't read it from here. the creature is only 3 feet tall, and that's if you count ear tops and horns

"Perfect!"

She checks her pockets, before finding some cheerios. She offers up a handful.

"oooo" a suspicious look at the weapons the trolls carry, "Otrl okep tuj tuj?"// Oswald motions to Deburn, and they both back up a bit//"ayy!" It chortles happily, and comes down further towards the cherios, it's little nose wiggling "mon mon?" tiny little hands start to reach for the offering "olehs mon mon?"

"For puffawuffa? Well, maybe!"

She keeps quite still, letting the creature decide how close to get.

Puffawuffa scrambles closer, somehow seeming forever about to fall off a branch but yet managing it, a deceptive agility of fake clumsy, then, it snatches two tiny hand fulls and stares at their new prize "olehs! Mon Mon! YMU!" And bites down on them crunch crunch

She can now see that medallion has a symbol of a tree embossed on it.

"Munchie crunchies. Is this your home?"

It looks up the willow "si wno" a small furry shrug between munches "issa ookpook kayo hitw hatt?"

"what the heck is it saying?" Deburn whispers to Oswald.

Oswald shrugs

Emma considers, and nods.

"I'm new, too -but I already know everything, don't worry."

"Ookypook" The creature grins at her revealing a fun smile "Em wonk ookypook alkt nuf! issakayo." A nod "ouy nunun alkt triaghts ikel pufflewuff"

She places a hand on her chest. "I? Talk funny? Never!" A grin.

The creature claps with delight

"You understand what it's saying?" Oswald asks her

"These are my dearest friends, Oswald and my cousin Deburn. Fastest spears in the duchy, they once fought off pirates! They are protectors. And my friends are your friends, comprende?"

"Oh, it's easy if you know esperanto."

"endremoc!" Puffawuffa salutes the trolls "leub awlls feirnds!"

"Is that some kind of coffee?" Deburn mutters///"No I think it's a language, like Klingon, but not as cool" Oswald shares his veteren wisdom, then speaks to the pooka "If you think this creature means no harm we'll protect it as we would any other chimera in the hold, Miss Emmaline."

"Well, the tree has been his home for years and years." She nods. "Yet the hold stands!"

"Right" Oswald says then looks to Deburn, "Looks like we fill the baroness in on the arrival of.. hufflepuff?"

the creature giggles then says "Puffawuffa"

"Honey badger, obviously."

PUffawuffa tries to put on a fierce face, which ends up looking comical and it announces "Onhey adbaeg ond't egiv ayay sith"

"If it pulls out a red light saber, I am calling for back up" Deburn mutters

"Precisely, friend!"

"Go make the report, Deburn, " Oswald directs. When the new troll withdraws, "Ah, Healer Emmaline? Dinner will be served soon. Don't forget to eat"

"Sure, sure. You have my eternal gratitude for the mulch, at least until next Wednesday."

"Yeah, I better go wash my hands..." He nods and heads off.
