And that's when Coradel notices someone slipping out of the garden or trying to.

"Ahem." In the direction of the sneak. "Come here, please." Firm.

"I am a sluagh, Baroness. Would you have me undone in fighting my nature?" For a moment the girl looks particularly pitiful

"Hm. I might find it forgivable if you share your observations." She nods the girl towards the knight's abandoned chair.

THe girl obediently takes a seat, "Since you ask my observations? I think I like daisies more then sunflowers, sunflowers seem pushy" a firm nod "I'd prefer daises on this body's grave when the time comes. "

"Allow me to be a bit more precise." She retakes her own seat. "What are your observations about the meeting that occurred here with Sir Neachdainn."

"my observations were incomplete" Velvet frowns, her thin lips a line, "Forgive. I came in to hear that an Ailil girl was prone to cruelty. While it maybe gauche to mention it, this sort of news will do me no good at high tea at all"

"I see. I am not hearing anything sufficient to compensate for your eavesdropping."

"Oh, you want news you wouldn't have then? forgive me lady. I thought you were asking what I'd heard and that not being much... I was understandably frustrated."

"Subtext is for boggans, Baroness, though I try" She shrugs "i suspect he fancies you still but I do not think this is news to you? "

A head pops out of the rhodedendrons, flowers stuck in his hair, and he remarks, oblivious to any surprise he may have caused, "Well, who doesn't?"

A daisy plucked from his mane absently, and offered to the diminutive sluagh. "I thought I heard a little mouse rustling in the grasses. You are lucky my mighty paw falls slowly this day, and only to pluck daisies." A grin.

A bit of amusement at the boggans comment. "Well then...if you will insist on eavesdropping, you must either improve your skill at gathering news, or improve your skill at departing undetected. You may go." Then a smile to Vince. "Well, thank you, Whiskers." She toasts him with the last of her drink.

and out the sluagh scurries blushing red

A chuckle rumbles in his throat, and he rises, offering Coradel his paw - er, arm, to escort back in.

She stands and looks to Derynwydd and Vince. "I will keep you posted about when I'm about to leave. For now, please excuse me." A hug for Deryn, and a touch of Vince's cheek, and then she's striding back into the manor.

August is pleasantly surprised. "Magnus, hello." Quietly.

"Hello, oh no need to whisper. If Miss Zara is here she's not letting me now about it" Wryly

He pauses, nonplussed. "Libraries are quiet places."

"Oh see, now you make me want to pull out my smart phone and start up my music play list at party volume"

"Try to restrain yourself." Firmly. "I, ah, I was wondering... ah, have you heard about Coradel's journey?" Very casually. "The one she's planning?"

"The Journey she's taking India, so that from there she enter the Taj Mahal trod to retrieve the TRUE Kama Sutra for the glory of House Fiona?"

August's eyes get VERY BIG and his mouth drops open.

"Wait, no, that's My vacation plan. "

Rapid blinking, and his heart starts again. "Magnus...." weakly.

"Oh some days you are no fun," A sigh "you're going to want me to be honest about this aren't you? To please just tell you the truth of what I know so you can judge for yourself whether you should worry or not?"

"Yes." Going very serious, and taking a seat beside him. "Please."
