August glances up and nods mutely.

"I know that, but I...." She looks from the satyr to August. "My love, we'll be fine. We'll be better than fine. If this is where you're best suited to help...then being that man will be what you provide to us." She takes his hand again. "I think...you should pursue what moves you."

He shrugs again. "That's the thing, I still don't know."

"You're both young. Now's the time to take your time and learn" Bachdion reminds

"I thought about the law but.... Yes, Sir, I considered the Banality issues; I think I could handle it. And at any rate, I need to graduate college first and a lot could change by then."

"You're better at coping with banality than I am, I know that." Her tone is quiet. "But...could you do what Layton does? Defend those who disgust you?"

He thinks about it, and nods. "Yes. If it were an honorable defence. Although, I'm not that interested in criminal law, beyond what's necessary."

"Then...perhaps...you might find some way to work with a lawyer who does the work you like, while you have some time from school. Though I don't know how that works, really...."

He nods. "That's a good idea." Agreeing. "Not sure, when or how but... I can take a look."

"You two go look , I suggest a walk under the stars to start, hand in hand" He shoos them off , "Glorious night for it. go"

A somewhat distracted smile and kiss-on-the-cheek for the satyr. "Let me know what the Namers say, Bachdion. And...thank you." Then she's looking at August again as they make their way to the garden door, an expression of curiosity about this new aspect of his possible future.

August offers Bachdion a respectful bow and offers Coradel his arm as they walk away.

Bachdion enjoys the kiss, watches them go, and he wipes his brow once they're gone, brushing the horns "thank goodness there were some questions she didn't ask."
