"Being a troll right here," Earl sips but with good humor

"Aye, love. You have your own aptitudes." She pats his hand.

"Perhaps... I could aid thee in this endeavour? I have rather good resources in here..."

Earl laughs softly

Alamadine shakes his head to zara, "You're kind to offer, but no no. I really should earn my keep. You do more than enough with the library. I am glad to read what I can here for help or enjoyment both, of course"

A soft chuff. "And who all would you consider of the hold?"

"Well, now, that's an interesting question I've been considering myself" The Eiluned smiles

"I, for example, am not."

"Then, with all due respect miss, if I were to serve this hold and it's lady, then should a third party, no matter how much I personally admire and respect, be involved on such? You did present me before the Baroness after all. I am employed by her so to speak"

She narrows her eyes. "I mean, good sir, that you shall not read my da'an."

"Well, of course not," He says startled, "Miss Zara, we are soothsayers both. There is meant to be.an understanding? yes? Even if I were not most fond of you and your aid...even if I felt no sense of debt- I would respect that fraternity to use a slightly off term."

Earl cuts in, "Soothsayers don't mess with other soothsayers?" A glance to Zara

She sips her tea. "So long as that is understood, aye."

"Earl, Soothsayers don't dare, next to Namers, they are the most powerful of ... well, not POWERFUl, but ultimately dangerous on a large scale. If a war between two fatebenders should commence, they cannot only harm each other, but the very weave of the Da'an about their locales or further. Now the Dreaming normally punishes them for this...but still." He loosk to Zara to see if she agrees or can explain it better

She nods, silently agreeing.

Earl nods, "That makes sense. And I'm glad. Of course, a wayfarer in training could just portal passage one down into an oblette and ...solve at least one problm, or a bottomless chasm or.."

"Many options when magic is on the table, yes."

"But da'an likes balance."

The Seer glances at Earl, then a look to Zara, "Your paramour is..protective you. I should't be surprised."

"Trolls." A gentle shrug.

"Quite" the Eiluned smiles

Earl sighs looking just a bit put upon

"Though some of that rubbed off. I suspect I am protective back."

"oh you poor dear," the Eiluned says, "You do look a bit blue about the gills"

A soft rasp of not-laughter. "Aye, so it may be."

"we have a salve for the condition" Earl sighs

the seer laughed, then, "Actually, if Earl paints, I understand you have nightvision..maybe you could provide insight into.."

The conversation turns to a sluagh's view of the night sky, the stars she sees that they do not...

Stars and wonders and sharing of snippets of myth and poem... a good conversation, well into the night.
