In the library, a white-haired sluagh hums to herself as she puts back a newly-cataloged shelf of books.

Someone has slipped a book of 101 knock knock jokes in there.

A sigh, and it is sent to the Pooka Shelf.

Giggling from a certain book wyrm

She has found a book of Groucho Marx quotations

“I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go into the other room and read a book.”

the dragon snickers

"Oh, that is a very you quote, darling."

The door opens, not loudly, but it does, someone is coming in

She goes quiet, dark eyes looking to the entryway.

Almandine enters, seeming to be wearing a cloak and cowl someone has issued him. It has rather sinister seeming runes dancing along the embroderiy

She raises an eyebrow. "There is a seer costume? I am not sure if I am glad or disappointed I didn't seek the position..."

"Apparently an official costume, according to the note left. I also have a warped looking staff with an obsdian skull top but I thought that might be too much"

"....who left the note?

The runes spark with apparent malevolence , or maybe that's just the hue.

"Was it Shalimar?"

"Perhaps, it was left behind. I'm not sure what a Shalimar is?"

She squints at the runes, reading them. "The Jester."

They are now flashing 'Eat at Joes' but only for a moment

"Well, I wouldn't be welcome if a pooka didn't prank me, would I?" Dryly

A delicate, dainty... snort. "No, that's true. A rite of passage."

"I think this hold is getting to me I'm actually concerned about Fashion" Dryly "Back at my previous one, I was less interested in such things. Perhaps I just wish to respect the kindness of the Baroness. "

"Well, mayhaps the Liam cares less of fashion? Oh, take that thing off."

A smile, "As you insist, Miss Zara" He takes it off.

a brief flash of the runes says 'awwww' and then they grow dark

"I'm sure you'll have fun again." She reassures the cloak.

it almost seems to be eager at that notion, probably impossible, but then,Zara always has had a way with textiles

"I'm increasingly glad I didn't take the staff," "Then Almandine looks about, "I've been here earlier while you were out. It's amazing to me still."

"Did you see the back room?" Bronte, meanwhile, has looked up from her book to study the newcomer. At least until the call of new words is too strong.

Almandine's sparkling eyes glisten like the darkest of sapphires, but no less blue as they look the Book Wyrm, "I did," he answers Zara, "I don't have Chronos, but I've never seen a better use for it."

"Oh - alas. I might need to impress upon Magnus the import."

"Well, I do have some rare arts," A pause, "And something this one might like as well." He pulls out a slender volume The Sleeping Dragon by Joel Rosenberg, the novel has seen better days, but holds up well, "I figure the title at least might appeal? With your permission?"

The last to Zara

"Oh.... I think she might enjoy that very much, thank you."

Indeed, the little book wyrm exclaims "Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog- it is very dark" And snatches the new (To her) novel right up like a child almost diving for candy

"Bronte! What do you say? Manners!"

"Oh," A chagrined look on the little dragonling "Thank you, may I please have some more?"

the Eiluned laughs at that, throaty but not too loud, "Oh, I think many of my House would find her a kindred spirit, Miss Zara. "

then he says to her "You are welcome, and i'll see if I can dig up the next two books. I lost interest in the series with the 4th one"

He turns to Zara "So, are there any type of books you're looking for for the library in general? You or Scribe August?"

"Well, magical texts, obviously... any rarities... but there are quite a few childlings here. I would wager more books for them, and more novels - tis Fiona held, now."

"Oh, I need to be careful, some books I enjoyed I would not recommend for childlilngs" Seems thoughtful "But ,yes, I recall a few that were fun. What was that optical illusion book? the wizard of Op?"
