Bachdion raises a brow, then looks to August, "That's a scary power, friend."

August waves from his seat. "Wow! Hello, Earl."

He glances back at Bachdion. "I didn't know I had it!"

A pause. "Coradel?" Looking back hopefully at the door.

"Earl!" She brightens, a gleam like moonlight in her ink-black eyes and a smile on her grey lips. She is, of course, a sluagh yet - but one might almost say she was pretty when she spies her troll.

"Hello, August," A smile, "And to your friends. Pardon, Earl DeBuke. I'm just here to see Zara." And indeed he glides to her side muttering "Missed you. Is this a bad time to join you?"

"Earl, this is Sir Bachdion ap Fiona, and Vince, who is come to stay at EarthRunes."

"I think not. I needed tea." She holds up the cup by way of explanation.

Bachdion looks at the door, then "Looks like you used your charge up. " then a nod at the introductions, "A pleasure, Earl."

"Of course," Earl nods, as if understanding one does indeed need tea.

August understands, of course, but is still a bit disappointed.

"Vincent is a mixologist. Perhaps you would care for something creative, Earl?"

"Ah, creative?" Earl looks at the pooka, "I suppose one should not refuse a challenge his lady issuesfor him. go ahead, please, Vince."

"Mister DeBuke, a pleasure. What's your poison?" A grin, his tail swishing.

"Oh, be creative" he says in answer

Bachdion hides smile behind his drink at the troll's trust

His grin turns positively cheshire in response, and he turns aside, gaze trailing over the bottles present as he ponders for a moment.

August looks a bit worried, but....

"....My Hunter, he is also a pooka. You may be being braver than you think..."

He hums to himself as he picks up a bottle, shakes his head, puts it back.... and starts to assemble, hiding the glass as he works his magic.

"Bit late to back out now" The troll whispers to Zara

"Well, you could have given him aught to go on...." she stops, then sighs. "Aye. Tis. Be bold, Herne. Mayhaps Fiona fearlessness shall be contagious. I will mourn thee well, with veils and weeping."

"I expect a fully recited sonnet over the grave, I've been a good boyfriend" Earl says softly

Soft as Earl maybe trying to be, Bachdion is catchingg SOME of the conversation, and fighting a chuckle

August is working with dedication to avoid eavesdropping. He sips his drink.

"Hmmm, no, no... THAT I'll save for Beltaine, mrrrrr.... ah!" A purr, and he turns around, presenting a drink in a tall cocktail glass... it is layered, clear, blue, and white, and has a strawberry speared and balanced over the top of the glass. "Dear friend, please enjoy, 'The Troll Knight'."

"Hmm. Maybe a limerick. We shall see."

"Tall, and strong, yet heart is pure, a cocktail that you'll savor for sure..."

"Oh, it's pretty!" A feathery and delighted whisper.

Hopefully Earl has a taste for fruity drinks - tropical and coconut, enhanced by rum, vodka and curacao - and not a lie, strong!

"It's lovely at least, " He picks it up, "To Iowa, a fair gold land, It never felt like home, but I found a lady, and the lady was pale and fair, and in her arms there I am home." A drink

"Lovely, aye, but not half so much as the lass beside you. Also like her, it has a bit of a kick!" A mischeivous grin. "Or so, Shalimar laments..."

Ahem. a swallow "Wow. Kicks like a county mule."

"Shalimar?" Earl says confused

"Oh, a member of Lady Coradel's court. He recently helped to reorganize the library."

"Our Jester."

Then, a frown. "He did?" August looks at Zara for explaination.

"Well, it has been mended." A sip of her tea.

And suddenly he snaps his fingers. "Library! Miss, might I beg an extension? Such scholars as these would devour a novel in a day, but I confess, it is dry work for me, and I haven't finished my studies."

"Mended... was anything damaged?"

"I do like the rum and the coconut, but I think if I had more than two my eyes would cross." Earl takes it slow

"Only his pride, I believe."

"I think naught but a prankster's pride."

And a wide grin to Zara.

Bachdion smiles, "Well, Pooka must prank I suppose."

"Well - I shan't say jinx. A soothsayer has responsibilities."

"He messed with the books? Oh he didn't know you were here, or at least not what that meant" Earl says

"And I would jinx, to extort from you a boon, but fear with your stalwart defenders here, none I could dream up would be worth their wroth. Though, truth, I had though to seek such of you, before Lord Nutmeg arrived."

"Well. I have some measure of experience with reading da'an, if you have need."

Bachdion says "And here i wasted all my time on Wayfare"
