August takes Derynwydd's hand.

"Guys, it's fine!"

August lets go.

A blink. "Deryn, I dress up because I like to, especially for dinners like this. But...I am certainly not one to set formal guidelines on clothing!" A look down the table at the rest of the court. "Certainly unless it's a formal function, I don't expect you always to be at your most grand if you'd rather not be." The thought that they might not all like the clothing they're wearing is a bit of a revelation.

August stands, stripping off his clothes, the tattoo on his chest exposed to all "FREEEDOMMMM!!!!"

She looks at Shalimar. "Well....not too casual. I'd still like to find you all appealing."

"I think I'll still insist the staff doing the cleaning wear uniforms when on duty" The steward says

"But not off duty..."

"Well, of course not" She agrees

"ahem" Stevie calls out from the troubadour corner

Gideon is making shakey no no gestures

She raises an eyebrow. "Yes, Stevie?"

"We're sorry to bother you folk, and we enjoy playing dinner theatre..." And she does smile "But Gideon was wondering... in some stories Troubadours go around spying and seducing..sounds fun, then they report back? He's worried he's not qualified but do you need him to be on the look out for any odd folk?"

The boggan buries his head in his hands

"Spying and seducing?" Coradel smiles.

August frowns, standing.

"I think I'd like to hear some of these stories told."

Then a startled blink as August stands. "What's wrong?"

"Did I say something wrong?" Stevie says, a bit alarmed

"Well...." He sits. "Sorry, it sounds like there was a problem."

"well, shoot, no, it just made me feel all Jamie Bond" Stevie says then looks to Gideon, "Nothing wrong right?"

"Nothing I want to share... thanks" Gideon says

"I don't think they meant there are odd people now." She rests a hand on August's arm, then looks back to the Troubadours. "I think that's a fine idea, and a fitting use for your skills. You will know who belongs and who doesn't, and will blend in on occasions when nobody will notice that you're watching. By all means, consider that part of your job titles."

Gideon blushes "I'll keep a look out." //Stevie grins "yes! Gonna have to ask Bachdion for a few hints"

A soft chuckle.

As Bachdion is likely at the table, Coradel gives him a grin and a slight toast with her glass.

Bachdion smiles, "Flattered, though I think you'll do fine, Stevie."

A low aside. "Oh, indulge the girl... I'm sure you'll suffer for the greater good."

Bachdion winks

A slightly surprised look at the elder satyr, but she makes no further comment there. She does look back to Inish. "Wait...I may have been distracted before...did you say that one of the Herald apprentice applicants is...a pooka? How would that work? A pooka herald, that is. No offense, Shalimar, I'm just having trouble imagining the messages getting through clearly."

"Well, that is the downside, yes." Inish admits "but I try to keep to keep an open mind."

"It should certainly be an interesting audition." She smiles.

As the meal is cleared away, the court members each go to attend to their various business.
