The Stork winces as his supervisor chews him out

"So you RUSHED the delivery... got the WRONG Label on one... and they weren't even fully assembled?" The supervisor tuts "SLOPPY Work, Cico, SLOPPY!"

Cico says "Boss? I don't work in manufacture, just delivery. Besides, it had to be done, or we would have lost the little guys. What am I, a monster? Yeah, I flew as fast as I could. The parents are showing smarts, got a good doctor and all that. They'll be fine." he hoped they'd be fine. This could go badly on his next official evaluation.

"This, THIS is why so many turn to cabbage patches!" his supervisor growled, "They're stealing our sthick, Cico! And this does not help us maintain our status as the number one handlers of infant deliveries in the Dreaming"

"The Cabbages will never have our appeal, sir" Cico assured. Besides, Cabbage Patch kids were rather ugly "That 80s craze was a one time thing"

"It nearly broke us, Cico, and it will not happen again," his supervisor asserted, "NOT ON MY WATCH! Now, get on patrol and deliver the next batch. We got new orders every day. "

"Yes sir." Cico the Stork salutes with a wing, and retreats. Frankly, he thinks some of the guys in the chair have forgotten what it is like to be out there in the open air, doing the work, facing the dangers and effort. He does hope the latest deliveries are okay though.
