At Witch haven, a rite is being practiced. Weather magics sent from here to weaken the storm

"The Colorodo and Lake Mead" Flame says "I steal a pinch for that"

"Feh. I think a good storm helps herald the change of seasons."

The River might snark, but she does not hinder the working.

"Just spreading it out a bit, sides, one would think you'd want a bit less thunder with those tender ears of yours" Field says, and says "To the farm lands in dire dry, I steal a pinch for this"

"Welllll...."

"Oh for the love, River, steal a furking Pinch if you can . More your venue than ours" Flame says in a delicate nocker way

"Weather? Nay. Try the Field."

"Flattering... but you know..." The field ponders "You could probably steal a pinch for fog somewhere?"

"...mayhaps."

A delicate gesture, gathering shadows.

Field smiles, and for all her grumbling, Flame has to admire the technique

It's like a dance, a three-person waltz of smoke and aether.

Indeed, the magic passes like a spiral between them

the tiniest of smiles on the sluagh's lips. Shh.

She can tell the flame wants her to speak up, well, Whisper up...but then flame and river have very different styles

The storm has two faces, nature's bounty, and the Dreaming's aspect. It is the dreaming aspect that they have more power over. And perhaps that is well, for there is fear of it. Strong

Ah, but what will she claim her share for? If anything?

Is pleasure not an end unto itself?

Indeed, she savors it, she swirls the magic in her hands and being... she can taste the drops of rain, smell the mist of it, and yes, the tingle of the lightning in it. The pressure of the breathing of the wind.

She closes her eyes, enjoying it.

Her sister witches having worked, join her in the play. She can feel them also sharing in the power of the great storm. Winds dancing, lightning locked in intimate embrace with the clouds that carry them, Rain flying to land and transform itself into rising water

Zara wouldn't steal, but she might, like any good witch, squirrel away a bit of that magic... for later. Yes. Not like this is a pen after all.

And while few will know it , some of the storm would have been worse still if not for witches they'll never know
