Inside, she finds another bit of cloisonné. Gold wire and enamel formed into a a shape, and set with a pin back.

The goddess is surprised, then runs a finger over the shape and says "Should I remove the pin?"

A wee enamel pin, of a Chibi Cerberus.

Blepping.

A surprisingly youthful giggle breaks out of Persephone, yes, she giggles

"My... love?" Hades is surprised

Persephone giggles more but manages a "Look, see" And he goes to see.

"Well, " Says the somber death god "That's just silly."

His queen hip bumps him, a smile unrepentant on her face

And the somber lord of the dead actually, smiles ? yes, his lip shifts. This silly touch has brought joy to his wife. And THAT warms him

A flash of a cockeyed grin from the nocker.

Persephone turns to the nocker "Thistle of Silverwolf, I am VERY well pleased. My husband through your work, has not just brought me beauty, but laughter. I have something for you , it will only work in this part of the dreaming fully, but.." She reaches in and hands over something to the nocker "If all seems lost, light this candle" it's a plain little candle, doesn't look greek.

She takes the candle. "Thank you, Your Majesty."

"Most welcome" SHe says

"I really need to go find my friend. Is there anything I should know about this Arawn guy?"

Hades nods "Yes. He is a hunter, not evil, though some stories portray him as such, but he is a good and we are cruel and terrible at times. You will find his woods and warrens there" He points again, to the east and still a bit further south to a new batch "He has red and white hounds utterly loyal to him. "

"I promised to aid you, and so I will." He plunges a free hand into the very rock of the cave, "At one time," He pulls forth a stone "A musician came to my lands, and bypassed Cerebrus by playing such beautiful music the dog fell asleep." He puts the stone in Thistle's grasp "this holds an echo of that music. It should help calm Arawn's dogs. Fine hounds, but not as amazing as my Cerebrus. This will allow you to close on him, and I suspect your friend"

"Follow your wisp... when you next cast it, you will find yourself filled with the stamina of the deathless..until you find your friend" his eyes glow and she feels..all that tiredness fade

"I am grateful, even if I hope I don't see you again for a long time. I suspect for an immortal, it won't be nearly so long."

"If you die here, it is not to wherever Episcopalians go you'll arrive" He warns "This is a land of forgotten gods, and death gods as well are eager for souls. This is a quest, young one, and those are never without dire risks"

"As I understand, I split?"

"Like - Katrina goes one way, and the nocker goes another."

"That would be the normal way of it, but here things are less certain" Hades says "It maybe your cycle will be on pause. "

"Though if you do die, we will make a bid upon you" Persephone says kindly

Bid? Souls get auctioned off? Geez

She raises a plumed brow. "Noted."

"Then off with you, crafter, and remember, if all else fails, light the candle" Peresphone says

She tips a salute, and ventures forth.

She was told to wisp

And when she looks back, the cave is..gone

"Weird."

She rubs her hands together, faster and faster, until the friction creates warmth.

The wisp cantrip works perfectly, and off they go. Indeed, it works better than usual, With Hades blessing, it looks a bit more like a ghostly light than a proper fire, but it pulls our heroine along allowing her to run twice as fast and she doesn't get tired

And she runs, running running, running running...heading after the wisp...

She moves by a stream...

As she walks by the stream she sees a corpse laying near where she's is about to step, it's male and a hand outstretched but empty.

She avoids the hand, frowning.

And that proves wise, for just as she's weaving, the corpse lunges for her! Fortunately, she's already moving about...

and she can book on after the wisp, still faster than normal, and faster than whatever that was
