Jessica sits before Zara, sitting in her throne. Zara has been provided a wingback chair and a tea tray

Wait, this troll isn't Jessica. Not quite

She blinks, dark eyes adjusting as she tries to figure out just what...

where?

"I can't tell you what an honor it is to have a namer here, we have had them, of course, but no one regular." The figure in the throne says

They appear to be in Fenix.. it looks like Jessica but withi nher eyes, green flames

She sits up straighter, alarmed but trying to hide it. "Ah... pardon?"

"Naming... your wards. I've been protected by Soveriegn before, but not naming.. not in a long time. I wanted to apologize for... oh, there she is... I was wondering if she'd join us."

Head-tilt. "Thou art Fenix?"

"Yes, and yet I am incomplete without her.. so she is Fenix too" The Jessica with flaming eyes rises and puts a hand over her own heart to greet Jessica with Ocean eyes. .. Jessica King "This is your seat I believe."

Jessica looks around, confused at first, then with understanding. "I think it is -our- seat."

"I suppose it is..." And the seat widens large enough for two

Jessica nods and takes a seat next to... Jessica.

"Zara. Hello; why are you in my dream?"

"I believe we are both in the Fire's dream."

Jessica looks at BaleJessica. "Are we?"

"You are... I needed to explain. " Fenix sits next to Jessica. Where the Balefire is... there's two figures as well.. two Jessica's...dancing. Though one of them appears more self concious about it

Eyebrow.

Zara watches, curious... using her magical senses to poke a little at the bond between fire, Jessica, and fire-Jessica.

"Zara was nice enough to offer up her ward, so I took it... not in the way she intended though. I incoprorated it somewhat into the chimes"

Then at the brow "Jessica.. if we both rule, we both also light..." she says "it's dream logic"

"Her... oh, you mean the symbols? I remember that." Then she nods. "Yes, I suppose so." Agreeing.

"It was a most unique working, aye, to take and transfigure..."

"It's not disimilar to what Mitra used to do..."

"But so much more...interwined" She says "Oh. I should explain to you while I can how the chimes will work yes?"

"Yes, please!"

Jessica nods.

"The attempt to block scrying is nice... but I coudln't do it all the time, not without frequent recastings and I doubt Zara feels like rushing over here every moon or so.. speaking of which, Zara... if you ever want to use the private tub on the New Moon or Full moon ... well, It's magical and I think yhou might enjoy the surprised look on Earl's face... " The Flame eyed Jessica says.

Jessica King however, knows this... her balefire is getting distracted... happens even when they don't 'talk talk'.. she's got to be the one to ask it to focus or it will ramble

She arches a single eyebrow, then, realizing Jessica.. oh.. PINK. Cursed Seelie spring...

Jessica PURPLES.

"Ok, hey, let's focus now... what's important here? How the chimes work. So tell us about that."

"Oh yes... they make scrying nearly impossible about 10 feet diameter around them...nearly... and make it more difficult to scry the hold period. But the big boon is, whenever a Balor comes within sight or sound of them... they're 'seen' or 'heard' by the chimes... the chimes will clatter. Should out them even if they're wearing other colors"

"That ... could be very useful. Do they work in other places, or only this hold?"

"Oh, how marvelous..."

"Good question, Jessica," The flame nods "They could work at other places, but away from a balefire they grow inert rapidly, like something with a weak battery needing to be plugged in"

It would appear the fire has picked up some practically from her current holder.

"Do the pieces work if separated?"

"No." She shakes her head"They were once whole and while they will always have a connection, they would weaken too much if scattered."

Jessica v1 nods, accepting.

"Which, since we just shattered an ancestral Balor treasure, we would not wish to weaken that ward..."

"Yes welll... I could say I'm sorry about that" The fire turned troll says "But I've never saw much point in lying."

"We could not keep such a thing safely, and we could not allow it to be loose in the world." Pragmatically.

"Agreed. The Balor... well.. they are not very fond of me, no. Nor you. So I think no love is lost."

Jessica nods agreement.

"The glamour was trapped in a miserable gnarled existence, tainted. Even if we gained nothing it would have been right to break and renew it"

"Change is good."

Said with trollish suredness

Now -Zara- gets an eyebrow.

"I was thinking more of helping it reclaim it's honor.." The flames admit
