"I know not what to ask for. I wished to see you, and.. I... it is lovely here, yes."

"I am a great believer in effort, Autumn dancer...do not let them hit ground, and I will give you something that you want... or it could all be a lie" a smile "Even Autumn may know mischief. Ready yourself" She gestures at one tree, then another, then another, and finally a fourth!

"Aye, Lady?" Alert now!

And those trees, and ONLY those trees, begin to shed leaves!

And there are words on the leaves...

Zara springs forward, reaching!

Reaching, dancing, springing! She gathers up one golden leaf, another snatch crimson one taken.... and another... more like orange fire...

again and again she gathers them up of those colors...

A garland of them, it seems - a raspy laugh at the dance and the challenge!

but even she cannot get them all

but still... perhaps there is a lesson in that as well?

"Most impressive...piece them together..."

Zara huffs a little when some escape her.. but she pieces what she caught.

Loss is the greatest teacher

Gather What Feeds You

"Oh... oh!" She reads, and grasps.

"What is it?" earl says, he has not seen

"Perhaps it is nothing" Autumn says "Words without power, if they ever had power to begin with?" A shrug "A tease? A prize? What will she make of it? That I cannot predict. Autumn daughters are ... they walk their own way"

She looks back. "Thank you!"

"Even the season dreams take strength from those that believe, perhaps I should thank you, Little Persephone. Now, to home with you...I wish to violate what folks believe is possible" A smile...

And for the first time Zara sinks into the leaves below...

A soft noise of surprise.

A confused "mew?"

and Earl goes "Oh wait now I.."

and they find themselves in Earth runes...
