The approach to Rome is smooth sailing mroe or less.. the redcaps scared a lot of things that might otherwise endanger...

"The baron of High reeds had hoped to claim this..."

"Gosh, should we rush in wherever and tell folks to please let him have it?"

A chuckle "I didn't think so." her love says, seemingly in higher spirits since their chase

She too, seems to be in a better mood.

"Think you the corby will succeed?"

"Actually, I do. I don't think the Balor or Varich are ready for folks who can CHEW through a wall"

"...True."

"Varich are so wary of my kith, perhaps they think no other could be a foe."

"Certainly not a corby rescuing a troll" a grin

A voice barks from the distance, "ROVER coming through, if you need aid, speak up"

Eye-roll.

She looks.

It's Olgar, that ugly mug is no prettier in the Dreaming

"Rover?" Earl says.

"Earl," Olgar says "What are you doing here? This trod's spanking new, or a 'renewed'"

His keen eyes do find the sluagh, but barely, "Zara."

"Olgar." A bow.

"It seems all roads lead to Rome, nu?"

"So it seems. So, what are you two doing here?" Olgar notices there wasn't quite an answer there.

"DeBuke business" Earl tries when it seems Zara has quieted. He wouldn't have spoken so firmly to the man even a year ago, "yourself?"

Olgar breaks into a chuckle "Well... they dropped . Fine. So happens this is kind of DeBuke business too ,sort of. Was going to ask your family for aid in gathering up some folks to tend to things, help shore up the new Lodge"

"Quite the coup."

"Yeah," He grins "No offense to you, Sir Earl, but any day I can see a Troll lodge swiped under the noses of most nobles, well, it cheers my unseelie soul. Not that nobles won't be there, but a troll system instead? not bad"

"None taken," Earl says "my.. reason for taking this title wasn't for the status quo exactly"

"Though we did see the most interesting hold a ways back..."

"Yeah? Which one?" Olgar says

"A triumvirate system, but only one troll."

"Huh, well who am I to judge... " Olgar says "Does it seem to work for em?"

She nods.

"We were on't there for a bit, but.. seemed to," Earl says "THe Olympion park hold.. Troll playing Zeus, a pooka playing poisiden, and a sluagh playing hades."

"Roughly Storm, Hearth and Mountain."

"Hah.. makes sense. Theme park? " He focuses, "THe one in Wisconsin has a trod?"

"Wisconsin Dells I think si the town yeah," Earl says "it has a trod.. they're a bit nervous about it...maybe the troll ish system drew it?"

Zara can see that talking to a Rover has Earl willing to talk honestly and openly. Love him as she does, he is no sluagh

"A trollish trod network, it seems."

"Wont' stay that way for long," Olgar says "Nor should it really, everyone has a right to travel the trods. THanks for the tip. I was about to go that way and see where it went. "

Earl says "So ah, what's ahead beyond Rome, or is there another..."

"Yeah, sure is, a long one too. I think it goes to Europa but haven't checked it out yet," Olgar says

"Mayhaps somewhere Scandinavian..."

"That's my bet, but you can tell it's Europe... trod smells of very old cheese" Olgar says straight faced

A little sniff. Not dignifying that with a laugh.

Earl looks at the older man impassively.

Olgar hurmphs "If I wanted my humor snubbed I'd tell my jokes to my daughter. Anyway. I plan on doing a trip to that trod.. I can report to you if you want?"

Earl frowns, and looks to Zara. Shoudl they let the rover 'discover' first?

"Well... that is an option, aye."

Olgar raises a brow "you got a better one? First time in awhile someone seemed upset that I was making sure things were safe"

"I am not upset?"

"He is" He gestures to Earl
