One should never ever just willy nilly bend fate, and yet... she has little time to use it if she wants to at all save here ,and now

Zara will not use another's treasure without permission - no, THAT would be tempting fate in a dangerous way.

But oh, what a wonderful treasure... why the water proofing alone and the style of the loom make it something to envy, but the fate weaving.. .very nice. She must slip out before someone comes in

But of course.

Earl and she rediscover each other, "I know I said I wanted to pay my respects, but i sort of thought you'd be with me for most of it." he says "Do you know long he grilled me on troll trivia? It was like sitting with an uncle again, and not one of the fun ones"

"Well, time to go then?"

"With some haste, before Hades realizes at least one of his spiders has been seduced. 1122 is incorrigible."

"He didn't?" Earl says "Those spiders were like tarantulas... ghost tarantulas but still , theyr'e like immense compared to him" Earl says looking at the little spider "Are you sure you didn't drink too much satyr glamour as a young thing?"

1122 looks smug.

"You and Bachdion should write a book" He mutters, then to Zara "yes, let's go. Quite enjoyable really."

"Now... pardon, but... a Wildheart?"

"Yeah, sorry I almost dropped my tea there. IT could be coincidence, but you know what they say about that and fae?"

He says "Unless you think it's a coincidence?"

"Feh. Coincidence. On a dragon-birthed trod FROM the Farm?"

"Right, didn't think so either. " A troubled look

"So - wife? Daughter?"

A troubled look, "I thought i knew all his kin, none of them named Bennath"

"...Student?"

"Possible, I seem to recall you tried to claim his old glasses when you found them. Maybe another student took his name? But I don't know a Bennath."

"Hm."

"I am not thrilled about sieging a Varich & Balor hold."

"To be fair? I was hoping we really WERE going to find someone else to do it. "

"It would be... risky, aye."

"But that's a mission for another time no matter who does it?"

A huff.

"you seem unsure"

"What are they doing to her now?"

A troubled look, "If she were a sluagh, I'd say torture. But, she's a troll so I don't know but I imagine a little gentler? Then again.. it's not just Varich, it's Balor" A scowl

"Exactly."

"Balor would wish to break her. Make a tool to use."

A sigh "We have to go rescue her or we're going to be wracked with guilt, aren't we?"

"Indeed."

"We should speak to the Mountain. Were it just ne of those houses... but both?"

"You mean Emmit, or Hades?"

"Emmit."

"Well, shall we skip the trod and just have me flickerflash us back?"

"Well... how much more can there be?"

"Well, there was that other direction..."

"How much real-world time will we lose?"

"An hour tops if the flash goes weakly, as for the trod? Well, who knows.. sometimes there are hiccups" He is looking about, she realizes Earl is getting to know the area if he ever needs to flickerflash back

"I do wish to see the end..."

"The end of the trod? MMm We'll up to you then"

(Presses send)

"I do. I know, Varich and.. but..."

"But?" He takes her hands "Zara. Do you want to go on the trod for now and then the rescue? or the rescue then resume the trod?"

"Trod now." She frowns. "I... the Varich are... the Varich, with Balor's ease with iron?"

"Okay, the trod and.." A thought "Maybe while in the Dreaming we can keep an eye open for something that can help her or help us help her?"

"Mayhaps."

"Then let's go to the silver..." A kiss.

"Aye..." Though she seems distracted and less enthusiastic.
