In the ruined ashes of the farmhold, it's a bitter post apocalyptic world.... Rowdy DeBuke spits out the hay from his mouth. It's just him and his dawg, in a zombie infested nightmare landscape with mutants and a want for... everything.

They called him Rowdy because he couldn't be contained. It's why he survived, when others fell to the great horror of the ..happening!

He takes his shot gun, and scans the land. Any moment, some mutated or half undead beastie could try to ambush you. Cuz out here, in the land now known as Farmageddon . if you want to survive... you need to be ready for anything, and you sleep with one eye open.

Already he sees they're being followed. Looks like Puma Ghoul, gaining on them. No doubt it sees his dawg and he as snacks. He whirls... and fires... but the Puma Ghoul is wiley, and darts to the side avoiding the spray!

"Careful boy" He warns his dog, "She'll try to circle behind us."

He checks his ammo, this ain't good.

Then....

"Roland Wycliff DeBuke!" His mother's voice calls out, "There you are! Put that supersoaker toy away, stop harassing that cat, and get back to your chores!"

He winces as the FULL name is used, shattering his happy place of true independence from the end of civilization. "Maaaa. I told you, when I wear this hat, it's ROWDY" the childling explains

"I KNOW what I named you, and while you can call yourself what you want while you're playing, you are behind on your chores. This is a farm, not some TV show set..." His mother taps her foot "Now get to it, or your lunch will be a little lacking."

Roland Wycliff DeBuke (Ugh, so uncool a name) sighs, "Fine."

"Pardon?" his mother says at his tone.

"I mean, yes ma'am," He corrects fast.

"Good. You know we encourage imagination around here, but couldn't you think of .. NICER dreams?" She asks.

Roland LIKES his dreams... they're odd, but they're his. He shrugs. His best defense against having to answer.

His mother sighs herself, and completely ruins the last of the illusion by lifting his hat, and kissing him on top of the head, before scooting him off to his chores.

Sometimes she worries her boy is an 'odd one', like Earl. And she's got no idea how to raise that. She just knows she loves her boy and WANTS him to be happy, but LORDY he is odd.
