Yule at the farm was warm and large annd welcoming. Gifts exchanged, family embraced, moments of belief manifest.

And Chief Clem pulls aside, to talk to CC after her part of the ceremony is settled

William, of course, would never dream of intruding.

A bit later, CC comes out looking baffled, and more than a litle.. hopeful

And she moves to him and takes is his hand

His hand is, of course, hers for the taking. He regards her, but doesn't ask. Yet.

She sits next to him ,smiles, annd grabs a cordial then says to him "Have you ever heard of a Naked Mole rat?"

"Yes, of course." He himself is having a hot toddy.

"Did you know," She sips "They don't get cancer?"

He nods. "So I've read.... " he slows and looks at Clem, then back at CC. "You're thinking....?"

CC says "Clem can elder forrm.. it's ..something that might have bennnies"

Clem has aleady gone back into the crowd. Helping the Hearth

"What does she want to try it?"

"We'll talk later, but... looks like mostly she wants to help."

He doesn't accept this easily, but doesn't make a big deal of it either. For the moment.

"How long do you think you'd need to be in ... that form?"

"We're not sure , and there are risks to staying in any form too long" She sips , then smiles "But isn't it nice to at least imaginne options?"

She still has his hand, or perhaps he has hers now. "You have real, usable options, of which Clem DeBuke's Arts are one."

She leans her head against his shoulder as they hold hands "And you're with me durring it all. I love you."

And as carols of all sorts are sung, good drink passed, she leans against him happily
