One boy groans "Ain't no Patriarchy here... got a woman chief and moms"

Salma leans in towards the other girls conspiratorially, "I added pockets on the insides AND outsides of my skirts, AND use the purse, so I can carry muchos libros." Giving them a small peek.. there is a book in one of her pockets, that looked like it was just a pattern on the skirt!

And one of the girls says "Zane's been helping at the school. He visits our mountain sometimes." As Ellie brings him up

"Maria and Rosa showed me how to make pockets. Then they told me not to bring a book, because I must be friendly." A HUFF. "They must understand, that if I have the pockets, I must use them..."

"Obviously."

"We have mountains too. Not too close, but they are the Palomar, Laguna, Sierra de Juarez..." Naming a few local ranges. "But the ocean, she is closer."

"There were more mountains once, but not any more. That was San Andrea's fault." She says, serenly,

Some grins and giggles at Salma but one takes it seriously "No, Mountain is like a job here. He's a shaman"

Ariel whispers "And you don't squeeze the Shaman"

"Ah, la Brujo Jefe." The boss witch. And then she has to cover up a giggle at Ariel.

Ellie is subdued. "The Mountain is scary."

"I thought it was the HEarth what was rude to you?" Marion Emmy Marion looks at her with concern "Oh not Grandpa Emmit too?"

"I heard a song about a mountain in Rivervale from a traveling troubador. Neema laughed at it but she wouldn't explain the joke."

One troll boy holds up his hands "That's it, we got to do something about our grumps"

"Yeah," Marion Marion aka Emmy nods "Ariel's notes are right. Elie's NICE. She shouldn't have been treated mean just because our grumps are scared"

"Well, soem of them lost family to bad nobles" One boy points out'

"Well it ain't Ellie's fault" Ariel huffs "YOu can't say all nobles are like.. that's... racist. .kithist? Classicst" She settles

"I would hope not" Cathir raises a brow

Brogan looks surprised, then says "Well, I was treated kindly here mostly... but hten I also got my revenge on the one childling here, but I won't name names. Maybe that helped."

One boy who's hair STILL is on the short side after his shampoo made it green sighs 'SAID I was sorry, Brogan"

Ellie looks down at her toes.

"Well, this hostlity sure makes things hard for them, Poor Ellie here was super polite but her guard was so up I felt like she thought she'd be attacked" Louisa Franchesca informs the otehrs "We started over, but that don't feed the bull dog when it comes to PROVING things"

"Well, that's why they wanted other sidhe here too" Geraldine explains "Hoping to show we changed since the school opened. Made us get to know folks."

Cathir admits 'Some of you WERE a bit distanced to us when e started"

SOme guilty looks among the DeBuke kids

"We have school, too. Dame Constance, and Dame Ash, and the new teacher... "

"Mister Viggo's really nice" Ariel nods

"He is! He knows how to read with his fingers."

"Well, you don't gotta come to school here if you don't want to" Marion marion tells her "But a DeBuke did you wrong, she as much says so. So we want to make amends "

Muffled. "It's fine."

The Gwydion looks over at her, "It sounds like it was not fine, it was unjust"

"I don't want to cause more trouble." True.

"Causing trouble is what childlings are FOR. Or else nothing will ever change. Like when we wanted to go to the beach!" She smiles. "NOW they know to take us at least once a month, or we will find another way."

Ariel nods "I remember that. I got to see a Mer boy because of that. Sometimess good things come of making trouble"

"We wouldn't have found the school if we'd stayed home."

"The school is a good thing" Brogan observes, "You can't learn to be a good host by closing all doors."

Juniper ponders then says "Ellie, maybe you shouldn't think of this so much as how we can make this right by you, though we want to. Maybe you should think of it on how to fix things so we never treat another little sidhe girl badly?"

Marion "Emmy" Marion nods "Yes, if you have ideas how to help future sidhe girls like you , on what to do or not do, we'd like to hear them, please?"

She starts to shrink. "I didn't want...."

"I'm not..."

Salma squeezes her hand. "Someone can make a difference."
