Nadeen moves quickly to Dagmar as she comes in "I knew you'd have to come back to the farm sometime" She eyes the many animals being brought in "mm Siv had it half right"

Nadeen does not look great

Even her beauty is somewhat bedgraggled. Like she's been working non stop at..something

"Hey." Dag is subdued, busy filling bowls of kibble and water.

"I suspect you saw the texts" She says and starts to help

"Oh.. yeah."

She sits down on the barn floor, scooping Damsel into her lap.

Damsel retreats into the lap back facing the world using the troll to block it off

"You don't like change sometimes" Nadeen says matter of factly

Grunt. Sounds like agreement.

"And that might have seemed out of the blue" Nadeen says still feeding the animals

"Well, Colton is there. She's been out a lot."

"Yes. " A nod "But still, I know the others turned to her for leadership sometimes. She IS annoying good at it" A sigh "And she's a friend"

"Yeah." Petting the little spaniel.

Damsel takes the pets as comfort but doesn' really have the heart to wag sincerely

Nadeen says "SHe's not gone from our lives just because she's one hold over. Siv is back, after time at Earth Runes. She's as chatty as ever.. for a troll"

"Yeah. I know."

"So we have not seen the last of Sylvi Davidson" A nod

"I know."

"But?" She bends down to pet Damsel too

"But what?"

"It's what it is."

"Sylvi wants to test herself. She wants purpose. But, I bet she's also scared."

"Everybody is gonna leave."

Nadeen bites her lip "I can't see your parents leaving. I know it's not the same, but I don't see them leaving you. And at first, half the reason I wanted Silverwolf was so that we could ride the horses together" A blush "then it got complicated"

"Silverwolf seems... nice, mostly."

"mostly.." She nods "I guess my point is, we may spread afield but we don't have to be strangers. trods and flicker flashes make a lot of visits possible" She considers and strokes Damsel some "It's true, people sometimes DO part, but new ones sometimes come in to. Take litle Layne, Foam the Selkie had to move closer to the shore, but now Connor has a centaur friend"

"I guess."

"Doesn' mean Foam is forgotten, or that Layne is 'just' a replacement, but it does show that the world is ebb and flow and that somethings even out. " A look at Dagmar "And I can never forget you, not in two life times"

"...yeah.."

"Sylvi is going to want our support. You want me to cover for you?" Not mocking

"I guess I'll go to the party. Don't wanna."

"We can find a reason so neither of us has to stay too longg"

"That might be good." Cautiously.

"Now, about Damsel... I have an idea. It's devious, it's sneaky, but it might lead to happiness, and it gets the dog at Rivervale"

"We can't take another dog..."

A pause.

"...Vali and Tiff?"

"I was actually thinking of this, 'Dear Layne, I am a lost puppy who has lost her loved ones and need a home. Please make big goo goo eyes at your parents who seem to be very nice, and take care of me. '"

"You think Layne wants a dog?"

"You didn' see her snuggling with Oak.. I know she isn't allergic and she likes them. She cuddled mhy dog too. And she does not have one at home. Now, she's got to mentor with someone at the lodge so what better way to make sure YOU get to visit Damsel?"

She bites on her lip. "Maybe..."

"It's an idea. not sure Tiffany is a dog person"

A sigh "You know what I mean"

"Heh."

"Just - Vali is her 'Damsel,' y'know?"

"HA. " She laughs "I hadn't thought of that. " And she actually seems tickled

"mmm" a look "Did you really save elephants? In a snow storm?"

Softly. "Yeah."

"Only YOU Could end up rescuing elephants in texas from a snow storm. You're amazing"
