Adam staggers as they arrive. "Sir, I wish someone'd said something about this. I've been here before, they don't like me here."

They are not at the farm, but the lonely road leading to it "And everyone at your high school in Jersey liked you? Lucky guy. I understand Adam. I find them a bit narrow minded, but they have lowered their ward for you. You won't be the only sidhe..and the fact you're not an awakened sidhe might work for you"

"Oh goodie." glum.

"Hi. You here for the school?" He might or might not recognize Bix

"Yeah."

"This is Adam, of Earth Runes, formerly of Rivervale" The Satyr knight says , and hands over some papers "Here's how far he's gotten."

"I'll pass it on" Bix says "Come on, Adam, I'll show you the way. "

"Sir Bachdion, how long do I stay here?"

"You... someone will come get me, right?"

"Oh right. It's not a boarding school " The satyr says

"Oh no, we're not hogwarts" Bix says

"So. End of the day?"

"I'll be here on the road for you, or Sir Earl" Bachdion says . Here in this mortal part of the world you have to focus to see the horns right

Adam nods. "Ok. See you, or him, then." He turns to Bix. "Let's get this done."

As they walk the sound of a voice he knows well rises in song from a nearby area.

"Let's start at the very beginning! That's a very good place to start!"

Guitar strumming accompanies.

"I bet a lot of you know the words, go on and join in."

"Doe, a Deer, a female deer..."

Encouraging young voices to join in.

And young voices do! "Doe! a deer, a female deer"

And on the song goes, until...
"Tea, a drink with jam and bread!"

And is interrupted with a WHOOP!

"JAM AND BREAD! JAM AND BREAD!" Connor chants in demand, encouraging Jack to slap his hands on his legs or stomp along!

Bix nods and leads Adam on "Get this done? Wow. It's not a firing squad, Adam. Honestly. It's like any mutli grade school"

Adam glances over at the familiar voice but doesn't stop moving.

He passes on, leaving the teacher initiate to be Lord of the Flie'd by hungry children.

"He's doing it wrong!" Angelijka protests!

PIper remembered something about an hourly wage. She's.. she's not sure it will pay for her burial

Adam goes to a different section of a school and actually stops to get his paperwork looked at, "Welcome aboard, Adam. "

The lady speaking is Kinian, of troll nature

"Ma'am."

"Mannerly," She approves.

"Yes, ma'am, thank you."

And she says "Okay, we'll put you down and .. Math class is about to begin. I know your teacher is young, but please respect her."

He nods.

"Well, there you go. Please refer to her as Miss Sally mae" And she motions him to go into that room 'over there'

"Sal... ly... Mph." He sighs and trudges in to slump in a seat at the back of the room.

The backseats are taken. That's what you get for fighting going to school

As far back as he can, then.

"Dude" Zane says behind him

"Oh. Hey."

"Hi. Welcome to the show" He says

After he sits, he offers Zane a fist bump from across the aisle.

And Sally mae enters. She's got glasses on her nose, hair up kind of ,showing lots of neck, and a pencil skirt. It looks professional but also.. well.. wilder male imaginations might be humming. For once, it's not her RELATIONS she's helping with math

So the few DeBukes who are in the students are rolling their eyes.

Adam can't help some interest but it's subdued.

But if they listen, really listen, they find Sally Mae knows her stuff, and she shares her knowledge with the enthusiasm of one who loves the material (And has yet to have her soul destroyed)

She might not have Adam's full attention, especially if there's a window in the room.

There is... and Adam wouldn't be the first to stare out those windows and sigh at the sight of changing leaves on some distant trees and open area, and big blue sky

He exhales.

And then Adam sees it fly through the air...
