"Chieftain" Chief Clem says "Always a pleasure, but what brings you?"

Brekke can see the farm has under gone some changes. A couple of tesla coil looking things are on a few of the roofs. One of the cows is dyed purple.

A blink at the odd shapes and colors. "I was hoping to negotiate a favor, Chieftain. Do you have some time?"

"Yes, yes I do. " She nods "And, long story short- Magic cookies on a farm wide scale. Nockers, Pooka, more"

"Ah. Those things. No long term damage, I hope?"

"No. May have to fight Mara to turn some of them back so I Probably won't" Clem says then smiles 'In fact, it's made folks a wee bit more open minded."

"That is good news." A nod. "Clem...with that in mind, would your farm be willing to welcome more Rivervalers on a regular basis?"

"Well, they're always welcome to come to the farm where we put them to work but sounds like you had something else in mind" Clem says

"I do. The local schools are reopening. We have ability to manage the mortal virus well amongst ourselves, but in the banality of school...I have concerns."

"I understand that. One nice thing about homeschooling here is..." She stops "Oh."

"Yes. I do not know how much of a burden it would be for you to take on more students, but they seem displeased by the entirely-computer option."

"Well forgive me, can Rivervale chip in for the texts books and such? We're not above sharing what we have but more will be needed. "

"I am certain that can be arranged, and gladly."

"We can do it" Clem nods "heck, we might even be able to set up a larger learning area. "

"I would be glad to assist with that, as well, in work and materials." A pause. "Chieftain...I am not asking for our trolls only."

"Oh we could definitely have." A blink "Wait, you mean every childling and wilder in your whole barony?"

"As many as you can handle...and are willing to accept." There's something unspoken there. "I do not know if they are all interested. I have not yet suggested this to them."

She paces "Sometimes I think the Da'an laughs. I was trying to open the farm up more to the world. And then this"

Brekke doesn't respond, but silently agrees.

"We can do it" Clem nods "May need to borrow Sir Vali when he has extra time. More teachers are better"

"Yes." Brekke replies, but still something is unresolved. "Clem...what of our sidhe?"

"That's.. that's the hard one. We'll be more accepting but you and I both know that's a matter of degrees. How many sidhe are we talking?"

"Two that I have in mind."

She rubs her forehead "What houses?"

"Daireann, for Hearth Kerri's Squire Brogan. And...Varich, for Baroness Nadeen Dancingsnow." Her expression is so neutral as to be nearly grim.

"You're killing me, Brekke" Clem says, then sighs "I'm sorry, that was rude. Just, two UNseelie Houses... and neither commoner friendly"

"I understand, believe me. It is, as some might say, a 'big ask.' I hope it helps that Kerri speaks for Brogan, and Nadeen and Dame Dagmar are devoted to each other."

"If Rivervale will vouch for their good behavior.. then yes" Clem says

"I will attempt to do better than that." She nods. "Thank you, Chieftain."

"You're welcome" Clem says "CHief, while you're here? About that rescue. Do you want me to have our Mountain put up a few wards?"

"I think that would be wise, if your Mountain is willing. Probably best to work with our Mountain, in tandem."

"Good point" Clem says "Definitely don't need Sidhe Banishment there" Wryly "We had to tweak the wards here anyway. Turned out they caused trouble we didn't expect."

A puzzled look. "Trouble?"

A lowered voice "Almost every troll got changed. A few got changed to sidhe. The ward over reacted and banished one when they were flicker flashed in. "

"Oh. Hm. So now you have changed the ward to...restricted to family?"

"More of an alarm to non family than a block .We hope to expand the mortal section of our lands soon. THat big aggro company took a hit from nature. Lots of praying to various deities in thanks for that. We maybe able to get a few acres for a song"

"Indeed?" A nod. "That is ambitious, but I think it is wise."

"It's a must. That banal monstrosity was the greatest threat to my folk, more so than any sidhe I dare say. Mortal farmers there? Dandy. Sons of Adam and daughters of Eve the work the soil create the dreams we love. But a souless aggro corp that destroys dreamers and leads to us risking a fade if we get close? No more of that thank you. I just hope I can get the help I need for it"

"It will be difficult to sustain. Farms are struggling. But if they are not focused on excessive growth...." She nods.

"Pretty much" A nod

"Is there some way I can assist you in obtaining the land? I have little wealth beyond the barony, and I do not think you wish Count Hemlock's funds connected to this."

"Well, first we have to see if I can get the sluagh to help lower the prices"

A pause. "Do I want to know about that part?"

"To be honest, I'm not sure I want to know about that part, but as it may involve Symon if he wants to help, I guess you should" She says "We're hoping they're make the illusion that that area is now haunted"

Bemused, "I see. That is devious and underhanded. I believe Symon will enjoy the challenge."

"Kind of makes me squirm a bit to be so sneaky, but... well, guile has its place, and I think the sluagh will love it."

"Guile has its place," Brekke agrees. "I may suggest getting Dirk involved in that."

"Dirk? I. .don't mean insult, but he's never struck me as the swiftest fellow and redcaps tend to be direct"

"True, but he does take direction well, and he respects Symon's abilities. I think he would do well in acting as a living nightmare...but let us see what Symon thinks."

Clem ponders than nods "I see what you mean. If Symon suggests, so be it"
