"Yes. " Herb says then looks Eloise "I'm furious at you, and DeVere? I think I hate you... but .. the Chief is right. Nothing good of that. So.. I leave. you stay. Peaceful separation... and later, when I'm gone,.. then you talk to Earl..ask what he wants. How 'out' he wants to be. I'll be out of earshot. Save my pride" An admmission "And up to you three how much you want to risk of your own respect"

"Is that alright with you, Eloise?"

"It's very kind, and, of COURSE we should tell Earl and ask him first. " She says "I am sorry, Herb. I did want to be in a hold very badly, to be magic. And I did love the farm. I thought we would grow to love each other. It was wrong of me"

"I proposed thinking the same" he says, then sighs "I'm gonna pack now, Chief, if that's okay. During the confusion it'll be easier" he is actually treating Sylvi like the Chief . Maybe it's just..easier for him to do it this way

"Do...do you all want to explain this to Chieftain Clem and Mountain Emmit, or do you want me to do that? I'm fine with it, I just want to know what you want."

"And yes, if that makes you more comfortable to leave now, that makes sense."

"If you or Eloise would.. I'd appreciate it"

Sylvi nods. "I will. And...I don't know if my saying so matters at all, but I think you're taking a very impressive step."

"Doesn't help as much as you'd like I'm sure but I appreicate it anyway" And he heads off.

Presumably to gather things, and set a divorce in motion

Sylvi takes a deep breath and exhales in a hoooo.

"Okay. Um. I guess you two have some things to discuss. I'll leave you alone." A rueful grin to Eloise and Mr. DeVere.

And she goes to find Clem and Emmit in their current forms.

The couple nods

and.. then, Sylvi bumps into a deer, the lovely doe stares at her with admiring eyes, and lowers her head respecfully

"Oh! I...um...hi?'

The Doe sniffs at Sylvi's brow, her tail twitches

A very confused Sylvi. "You're...are you a pooka?"

A wink. Do Deer wink?

"So, you're probably actually one of the DeBukes. Well, I hope you're having a better time than some. Any idea where Chieftain Clem is?"

"Or who she is?"

A shrug

A chuckle. "Thanks, that's helpful. I've got to find Mountain Emmit, too."

"well handled, young lady" comes a whisper

A startle and she turns to find the source of the voice.

Mountain Emmit ala a sluagh says "You did well, 'Chief'" A smile, toothless

A deep breath? "You really think so? I was worried you were going to think they should stay together, regardless."

"No, this is the perfect time for this to be in motion. Folks are going to remember this batch of..chaos...it helps diminish the scandal and hard feelings. Folks won't think "remember those two breaking up' so much as "remember when The Chieftain became Bambi?'"

"Bamb--" Sylvi turns and blinks at the Doe. "Oh! And, you're okay with it, too?"

The Doe is gone

"I shouldn't have blown her cover" Wry whisper

"Oh..." A bit of disappointment. "Do you think she's okay with it?"

"Pretty sure or she wouldn't be off pranking folks" Emmit says then frowns "how the heck does Zara make herself heard without straining her throat?"

"Oh, I'm sorry, I shouldn't be making you talk. But...thank you. I'm less worried now." A genuine grin. "I think they all have chances at happy lives, now. So...I guess I should get back to helping with the work, but I think most of the kinain have things pretty well in hand."

"They do, don't they? " impressed "yes, and Sally Mae is keeping them in shape. truth, she could probably take charge without you, but you made it easier...and you've been a good chief, sylvi. help the others, i honestly think that's the hardest thing you'll have to do until the cookies wear off"

A nod. "And Mountain, I suggest tea. Most of the sluagh I've ever met really like it." She heads back to see to other work.

And so Sylvi manages things... food is served as Sally Mae is acting Hearth again, and a horde of satyrs, redcaps (Oh god), Boggans and pooka descend on what used to be an orderly meal, but the Kinian keep the peace mostly with Sylvi's direction.

The Tractor keeps giving advice to folks, but fewer are listening to it but where the nockers of the Farm have gotten to is.. well, one wonders what they are builidng now?

Sylvi also suggests that if there are still dire wolves on the edge of the Farm, the redcaps might want to go hunting for a second course.

I hope the nockers remember than any chicken-shit-removal device mustn't upset the chickens or damage the eggs.

She makes sure things are organized for dinner cleanup...and at some point steals a bit of time away to visit Lanark and his family.

The redcaps go off eager to shed blood..but at least it's directed

And the clean up, well, Sally Mae nods that she's got it.

It's good to see Lanark. He's still stubborn, mean tempered, and crotchety... and he still is fond of her. And she gets to ride him

After the drama of the day, that's a welcome treat. She refreshes her own memory on some of the hand signs with him, and then does enjoy a bit of a ride.

She even might feel a bit of pride. The chaos is now growth, the madness, now motion, folks have shifted from panic, to exploration. Folks tip their hats to her as she rides by, and ..they are better for her being here.

That is a VERY good feeling, indeed.

And by the time the hand signal riding practice is done, and the trot about the farm done.. folks are changing back

She makes sure Lanark is stabled properly for the night, and then seeks out Clem.
